Hmm, it seems my information is a bit outdated. I was not aware that we were going back to the negotiation table. Well, at least the current administration has done that little bit right.

I still don't see what good sanctions would do. North Korea has been preparing its citizens for economic hardship for a very long time. They're used to little food. What will sanctions do to stop North Korea?

Say what? The US and Japan had an alliance at any point between the first and second world wars? Link, please - that shit's too crazy to be taken on credit.

I love that you can insult someone's intelligence while referencing a completely fictional "historical" event in the same post. Doublethink gold for you!

The point is that NK's leader is a loose canon and could be doing this for any number of reasons. I dont think hes there to talk if you ask me, they didnt meet in cuba just to have an early spring break party. I have my suspicions.

And now when NK wants to talk, we don't? Seriously, that's some messed up logic right there.

Stop focusing on the past and get your eyes on the here and now. Now Korea wants to talk, but we (meaning the Bush administration) don't. Tell me how that makes any shred of sense.

actually talk with North Korea

North Korea has been talking to us, and it always ends in him geting up and leaving the un headquarters. He is not willing to negotiate at this time, he probably thought (just opinin)that by building the nuke it would scare us and hed gain some leverage and be able to demand ransom for money or some crap like that, maybe it has somthing to do with that meeting the leaders of Iran, Venesuela, cuba and N.Korea had back in Cuba.

i'm still trying to figure out what "nuquelar" weapons are, i suspect my nextdoor neighbour might have one, should i call the CIA?

He is a horrible president, i could most likely tear him to pieces in a debate, likewise half of the YN community that isn't dumb enough to appreciate him. I sincerely belive that most teenagers with a little political knowledge and a little drive could probably make bush look like a fool in any sort of verbal confrontation.

So is the trade deficit and the national debt...

How is this good? Bush's call for sanctions hasn't stopped North Korea. Nor will it stop them. This administration needs to get off it's high horse and actually talk with North Korea. Sanctions will only get us the finger and more threats of nuclear attacks. Real smart.

And the UN is a sock-puppet. They have no power. When was the last time the UN did anything right? Or anything at all? We need a new multi-national organization. One not controlled by the US.

the UN isn't for 'beating into shape', it is for respecting, and would work if nations didn't flaunt the rules.

He may not always be Gramatically correct but when it comes down to the economy, GREAT! lowered taxes, Housing is up and Stocks and Bonds are up as well.

He has proposed the toughest sanctions on North Korea as compared to everyone else. and is Beating the U.N. into shape.
