criticisms of this country only count if politicians and Bush don't cry over it. otherwise, tears fall and so do bombs.

Let's see.
We took blame for Bay of Pigs We did not invade France, Russia or Germany for critiszing the war on Iraq.
So I think America can take criticizim.

I can take criticism and use it to perfect whatever was criticized. America has a need to save the world from a fate worse than death, and any who criticize this country is either named terrorist, anarchist, or French. ( yes i know the French arent the only ones criticizing us. i was just making a joke. can't make a joke around here these days cause most people can't see sarcasm and comedy even if it slapped them across the face) And lets just admit it right now. every time we try to help, we end up paying people as an apology. We're still apologizing to blacks for the whole slavery thing, the japonize for the internment camps we threw them in, Jews for not going to their aid sooner...i mean, the list literally goes on and on. obviously this country can't take criticism any better than J-Lo could accept not winning a VMA...or her doctors telling her that her @$$ is too big to add any more fat. either way...there's my point.

i can take criticism...its just when i get on this website...there are so many people from other countries on here that just go on and on about how bad we are...how immoral we are...when they really dont kno anything about this country except for what they see on TV, and on most stations the story changes depending on whether its a democratic or republican based station. so i mean... people think that all americans are ignorant and dumb and speak too much... but theres a lot of people who say things that just arent true and ticks us all off.

Here's something, I think America gets a lot of crap, if there is something to make fun of, there is at least one of them in America. So, does anyone else here feel like America has more than it's share of crap to take? Personally I'm all for dealing with it, but I'm just wondering what other people think.

In terms of nationalism I do think it accounts for a lot. Peoples' world-view is more often than not shaped by the country they live in. There is a tremendous difference in the world views between the French and the Americans currently for instance, both of which are linked to our historical and ideological differences. Furthermore, national sovereignty seems preferable to leftist globalist assimilation and the superstate, of which the USSR and current EU are prime examples of.

We can take criticism easily in this country. Criticism is very common in the USA given our constitutional freedoms and the classical liberal values this country was founded on. But we can not take it when it's being shoved in our faces constantly by ideologues and anti-Americans, while everything good which we do seems to be conveniently ignored. There’s a fine line between criticism and outright anti-Americanism or partisan bickering.

it gets harder and harder to take it when everyone is saying it. But I can deal...I just wish people would spend more time verifying their sources.
