This is just silly, I'm sure your kidding but if not let me use some reverse psychology on you: If you recall the economy toasted itself after 9-11 because the markets closed for over a week. Not just that but silly tax cuts and things of that nature in Bushs first term has toasted the economy of today. I dont know if you've realized quite where the Canadian dollar is in comparison to the American dollar, and the Euro. There is something else at work here, we are attempting to get all of our currencies on the same level, thats why even though inflation is soaring, the FED is not going to raise intrest rates. So in conclusion, because of Clintons work on the economy during his 8 years in office is the reason we didn't hit a depression in these 6 years, and why the FED is able to slowly sink it on purpose. Oh and I always here the cuts on defense spending, yes he cut thousands out of jobs out of the military, and started to civilianize them, making it cheaper for the government. Clinton also cut spending on wasteful developmental projects, like the retarted idea of the X-15, amoung others. He also dedicated more money to homeland security in the form of the Coast Guard, by increasing their slots and funding for newer equipment. He also set up the first (as retarded as it sounds) "terrorism Czar" however the REPUBLICAN congress failed to authorize him with any of the power he needed to do his job. Even though he was the most experienced person in the whole US on Al-Quida and their tactics (he even thought about using planes as missiles at the Atlanta olympics causing an AWACS to be on air patrol with a compliment of F-15's) he had no power to influence the budget to allocate defense spending to homeland security. All of this because the Republican congress wouldn't authorize it, because they had their own think tank who figured that Iraq was more important. All of the neo-con theory was based off the consistantly and factually refuted claims of Laurie Mylroie. I know you probably hate Richard Clarke because he talked out against the president, but if you read his book, he does not stab at people, it is a perfectly objective look, one that has been supported by many many people that have worked in the white house, namely the ex-treasury secretary Paul O-Neill. quote: Our economy right now is being affected by a war overseas. What do you expect? When has our economy been wonderful during a war?? Maybe if Clinton was so thoughtful, he would have valued the security of our nation and 9/11 wouldn't have been so successful.
Umm... our economy kicked ass in WW2, notice it brought us out of a depression. And I think I've refuted the second attack on clinton already. So your just another mouth piece, you can make like a sheep now. Bahahaha

As a democrat, I cansay that in these times, the only thing people are worried about is stablalizing the country and getting us back into better shape. I agree with you on the whole "democrats badgering republicans" thing on some levels, but in all honesty, there are some democrats out there that really do care and want to make a difference. They're prepared to fight for alternative ways. Sometimes the only thing you can do is stall and wait for a better idea to come up. And sometimes no one can agree on anything, so here we are locked in combat over so many things. Abortion, gay marriage, to name a few. Did you watch the 2004 Prez debates? Kerry had an answer for everything; he knew what he was talking about, whether it was war, gun laws, or the economy. Contrary to popular belief, Kerry wasn't really a flip-flopper so much as dear Mr. President. So, take your pick. Democrat or Republican, or one of the countless other parties. However, if you care about the future of the world, I can only hope you make the choices that benefit the world and its people, not just the choices that the parties are built on. You can have an opinion that differs from your parties. If you want any info on the Democrat ideology, feel free to NOIZEmail me; I'm sure I can find some sources for you. Oh, and just a note. Don't be apathetic; that's something neither party needs. . .

Our current President, George W. Bush is a Republican. He is doing a horrible job. No, an appalling job. Our economy sucks as of now. We are in debt in the TRILLIONS. Our former President, Bill Clinton is a Democrat. He was one of the best Presidents in the history of the country, in terms of economy. He made thoughtful choices concerning the well being of America, and while he was in office, our economy was the best it had ever been.
