Thats it simply, what do you think? One side is we want our troops back so no more die. But they also need us there! To help them build a stable government! All sides are reasonable, What do you think?

Honestly people we need to stay in there. If we leave now you know whats going to happen? Terrorists are just going to re attack. We are fighting for freedom not only Iraqi freedom but freedom for ourselves. I get that people want our troops to come home but what good is it if they come home and we loose all our rights?

Dick Cheney remarked, when Clinton was in power, that the Iraq War would be a fiasco. As much as the thought behind the Iraq War is nice, the U.S. can't sustain the conflict. Especially with the sectarian violence emerging, which I can guarantee you isn't well understood by the Department of Defense. These are conflicts that have been existent for the past thousand years, and U.S. occupation is only going to inflame the current situation. I believe that the situation is stabilizing itself without the United States, and the United States can safely withdraw.
Cheated the way from fringe to elite. Clique of stylists, rounded illogic skipping a beat to a dead cert. By lheaving charges and bursting the abscess, with a forked toungue, bloated with courage and spewing self-importance. Drop your sights, aim lower, leave umblemished those with real power.

When Saddam Hussian was in control, he was able to maintain peace (at a cost ofcourse) in Iraq. When the US attacked they either did not look deep enough into the issue or intentionally ignored the issue that conflict between Shiite and Sunni has existed for a long time in Iraq. As soon as Saddam was no longer around, there was no one left to keep a war from breaking out between Shiite and Sunni extremists. It sort of like a bottle cap on a coca cola bottle thats been shaken a lot. Once you remove the cap, you get a really big mess.
As for the US leaving or not, that is a really hard question and no universal conclusion could be reached. The US did not consider the affect the war would have on Iraqis and sought after their own (and somebody else in specific) wants. The US government needs to clean up the mess it made. On the other hand the majority of the US people do not favor making that mess in the first place so why should they clean up the mess? Its a very difficult situation.

I think (as a canadian) there should be less military involvement in Iraq and more people helping the social and economic crisis.

they don't need us to build a stable government, seeing as we were the ones who ripped thier government apart! BUT... if we just pull out our troops things will get even more messy. I think we need a plan for gradualy getting our troops out. I think this can only happen with Obama in office. Bush sure isn't planning anything.
