Life itself is a beautiful thing...birth may be bloody and painful but the life that emerges is beautiful and a blessing.
does the mother's comfort during an abortion make it ok? I think not...so the mother is comfortable...what about the baby's comfort? I know at this point it does no have emotions but if it hurts to be born im sure it hurts to be murdered just as much if not more so... ~barbie

quote: the mother cant even feel that b/c they numb her.
So? If performed correctly, the mother shouldn't be able to feel the abortion. quote: You know, being born hurts a baby like a biatch, too.
Very true. In a vaginal birth, it's like trying to squeeze a watermelon through a hole the size of a lemon. That hurts for the lemon-hole and the watermelon.

no, not exactly. the mother cant even feel that b/c they numb her. and the fact that shes giving life to someone and not taking it away, changes the entire thing.

It's so amazing that you can base your opinion of abortion on HOW IT LOOKS. You think ANYTHING involving birth is pretty?

And on the other side of the country, couples are not allowed to have more than one child. Even with that rule in place, the country will always be extremely overpopulated. India is in a similar situation, except that they don't have a one-child-rule. Not only is there severe overpopulation, but most of these children are starving. What a wonderful life. I've never heard of people being paid to have children. When did your story take place? quote: I was 3rd degree sunburned from tha waist down
A third-degree burn that was a sunburn?

"But does God really intend for a bunch of horrible men to go and rape 13 year olds? Does he intend to have a bunch of 14 year old moms running around the world? What kind of god wants to do that kind of emotional scaring to people? Are they "sinners" that he has to "punish?" Evy I'm sorry that you're 17 and you have a kid. If you don't mind me asking, how did the kid come to be? You don't have to answer. Evy" First of all it was not a horrible man who raped me.It was my "BF" of 2 and a hf. yrs. I was 3rd degree sunburned from tha waist down and he took advantage of that. What could I do? Run? Yeah, I coulda seen that..... Maybe God doesn't want lil' 14 yr old moms runnin around...Yeah I understand that but then again, jus like everyone else, we are sinners and stuff happens. It all depends on how u look at things. Here is where I draw tha line.....Sorry?? Ur sorry that I have a child at 17. Sweetie lemme explain sumthin to u. There's no need in u feelin sorry for me. I have everything that I could possibly need or even want and so does my daughter. As I said in the long story that u obviously didnt read too carefully, she's tha best thing that's ever happened to me and I WILL NEVER REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!! Love to all......

alright now i forgot what abortion thread we were talking about the world being over-populated so im just posting on this one caz i dont feel like going through the gabjillions of abortion boards to find it.
my mom went on a trip to europe...to what country i dont remember...but she sat next to a german nurse on the airplane ride. my mom happened to be pregnant with my little brother at the time, and the nurse next to her noticed this and asked "how much is your government paying you to have this baby?"
in many countries in europe governments are paying people to have children. the nurse even told my mom that after the baby was born, they government assigned a nurse to help out with the new baby for two weeks after the birth. and you people say we're overpopulated while people are being paid to have children? i think not.

sorry, get over it. i just watched a clip of an abortion and it made me cry. i used to think that abortion was just bad and that no one should get one. now i think im going to fully devote my life to outlawing abortions. i know you pro-choicers might think that its all fine and dandy...but seriously watch a clip of one...its horrible...

i think abortion is ok. But i also think that if somebody dosent want their baby, that they shouldnt of been messing around and having sex. They should jus raise the baby instead of killing it. But if the mother is extremely young then they should consider abortion cause they need to grow up. It would be like a child raising another child.

Even in situations where the woman holds responsibilty for her pregnancy, and she is seen to therefore deserve raise a child (ridiculous logic on its own; do people who fail to take safe precautions like bucking their seatbelts deserve death?), why is the male involved in the situation seen to need no such responsibility or punishment?
Many people support the outlawing of abortion on the grounds that the government should be able to make a woman raise her own child that she had of her own action, yet I do not see anyone lobbying for laws requiring that the father take equal, if not more, time rasing the child. Am I making sense?

Luvabugquote: i also see that evy had nothing to say after she realized that JVLcheer04 had been raped and was happy with her baby.
What I ment was that she didn't need to answere the question "How did the baby come to be?" because she had answered it. Evy

quote: I understand in a case like that the child may be an unexpected and unwanted thing but even parents would understand that it was not your irresponsible actions and therefore should look shamefully upon you.
Did you miss a word at the end of the sentence, or am I just missing something? quote: Your a *****
Hey, no gay bashing, please. quote: You guys seem to be so concerned with saving lives, but the fact of the matter is that if you truly are interested in saving people's lives, then you would support abortions, simply because you know, for a fact, that some women will do whatever they can to have an abortion, even if it means sticking a bent metal clothes hanger up her vagina and bleeding to death.
Don't forget, that stuff like this doesn't always work. A girl I knew wanted to get an abortion, but not tell her parents. Instead, she starved herself for six months, used an Ab-tronic belt, and intentionally fell down the stairs at least twice. None of those killed her baby. Instead, she has a one-year-old son, who is severely mentally retarted, blind, deaf, and paralyzed. This kid will never have a normal life, he will never know what is going on, he will never understand why he is the way he is, because his mother couldn't have an abortion, and tried to fix the problem herself.
