sure, we all want our soldiers home, and safe. but they need our support now more than ever. they have been out there in iraq living , barely, and striving to defend their country. did anybody ever consider what THEY need more than what WE want?
Even if civilian casualties aren't that high, they shouldn't be happening at all. Yes, the majority of civilian deaths are due to the insurgents, but the insurgents are killing civilians because the United States is in Iraq. We pull out, civvies stop dying in bunches every week.
really rough estimates pal. given the population of iraq is 27 Million I think someone woulda noticed 50000 people vanishing. Not to mention that the last time we had civvie casualties any were close to that high it was in WW2 where we did things like carpet bombing. The offical casualties for iraqi civilians is somewhere below (and I mean FAR below) 100000
very nice amp!!!

541,000 innocent Iraqis dead. FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY-ONE THOUSAND!!!!
These are just rough estimates, and this only represents iraq

edit: CBS has civvie casualtie total as : 56, 000 (total, so counting accidentals from the US and all the people the iraqis themselves are killing)

but with every innocent that we kill in iraq
yeah all of those innocents. Son compared to every war previous GWOT is bloodless. Sides saddam killed a hell of a lot more iraqis then we ever have when you add civvie casualties and military casualties from both wars in iraq

Vietnam you had a vague idea of who the enemy was
This proves that you don't know shit. Vietnam was Gurellia warfare on a scale that makes the Iraqi insurgency look like the neighbor kids out to TP a house. You think it's bad in iraq? In Nam' you could have lunch with a vietnamese man or woman, sit in their hooch and share c-rats with'em and that night they'd be out with the VC lookin to kill your ass.

what do they need? our support? then we should pull them out right away. i support our troops in saying BRING THEM HOME! you may believe that this war was justified, but even the most jaded soldier can tell you this war is even more messed up than most. at least in WWII and Vietnam you had a vague idea of who the enemy was. but with every innocent that we kill in iraq, with every woman that we force to take their hijab off, with every citizen that we teach to hate the usa, we have created MORE TERRORISTS!!
just look at the numbers 3,218 american soldiers dead
351 BILLION dollars spent
and
541,000 innocent Iraqis dead. FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY-ONE THOUSAND!!!!
These are just rough estimates, and this only represents iraq. in 9/11, roughly 3,000 innocent american citizens died.
was it worth it? are we really being threatened that much? is it worth the lives of all those people just to create more hate for the us? many people that support this war don't know what it is like all around the world. In Britain, France, Germany, and Spain, the people treat the arrogance of my country with disdain. In Switzerland, Mexico, India, and Japan, everyone wants the killing to END!
The world sees these innocent lives not just as statistics, but as real people. look at all the dead... thousands of americans, thousands of foreigners, but we must remember we are ALL CITIZENS of THE WORLD! osama doesn't hate america because of our decadence or our religions or least of all our DEMOCRACY. he hates america for other reasons, based on our atrocious foreign policy.
our troops don't need to be in iraq, and to tell you the truth, what they NEED, more than anything, is to be home.
I'm sorry but i don't think this war is really needed! I think that killing each other's army's is wrong and isn't going to solve anything! Bush needs to get the troops back to their families and work this whole thing out. Hopefully this will happen soon

Yes of course everbody knows that they need more than what we want!!!We just don't say it like we mean it!!! SO I WILL SAY IT FOR THEM ,''YES,WE CARE ABOUT YOU,WE LOVE WHAT YOUR DOING AND KEEP ON FIGHTING!!,NEVER GIVE UP!!!!''
guys this is wrong i,m puerto rican and i have so many friends in irak that are serving the u.s.a and i,m proud of it but some of them have died this is all wrong this cant go on people those soldiers have rights and family children who love them even if they are alise an have to fight for us bur this is wrong i, feel so sorry for them and for them and families thank you all have i nice day
The soldiers volunteered to go. We still have enough men not to have to draft people. These men joined out of patriotism. Not because we forced them to.
they have been out there in iraq living , barely, and striving to defend their country.
how are they defending their country by engaging in pointless warfare? the issue is raised again and again, the great tragedy of American foreign policy...I wish the perpetuators of this imperialism would dissapear so the US can return to its early traditions - jeffersonianism, hamiltonianism. The world doesn't need America's opinions, American exceptionalism does not exist, capitalism and democracy do not go hand in hand, american values do not work throughout the world. The world would be a better place if the US would return to isolationism.
3000 dead American soldiers is but a drop in the ocean of what America will incur upon itself if it continues its policy, not that 3000 lives is of much concern to the driving wheels of US foreign policy. Capitalism and Democracy need to be divorced, and the US public has to stop kidding itself into thinking its government acts out of a sheer desire to see democracy spread around the world.
Democracy as seen in unison with capitalism is dangerous in that it allows the US to act out of 'moral principle', yet it sees the spread of democracy as moving hand in hand with capitalism, which is entirely untrue and led to such US imperial policy which robbed Chilie of it's democratically elected government who fell foul of the US for the 'terrible crime' of supporting socialist economic principles.
So think please, before you say American soldiers are protecting America. They die for nothing. And they will continue to die in retribution for the crimes they are commiting.
