Iraq apologized to Kuwait for invading it in the early nineties.

Bottom line, the only reason Huessein apologized is because he wants Kuwait to help him miliartily in the coming war.

This apology is a load of garabge, just like all the 'documents' Huessein is submitting that claim he does not have WMDs.

Saddams apology to Kuwait is most likely some good old BSin’ I think they probably to have some WMD out there somewhere...

And for all this "Saddam Apologizing" stuff-tell that to the 30,000 turkish people who were chemicaly attacked my him.....

Realistically, there is no way that Kuwait would ever join forces with Iraq, even if he gave them several billion dollars worth of gifts, agreed to humiliate himself in front of the Kuwaiti government, and sent a whole army of cute Iraqi children carrying fingerpaintings of doves and peace symbols. I think it's some kind of cheap publicity stunt in hopes that the UN will be gentler on Iraq. But this might just go to show how much Hussein wants to avoid war with the U.S.
