Is war with Iran justified? Can the US military really handle the strain being involved in Iran, Afghanistan, and Iraq? Would you support this kind of action?

ok, i'm back for more after reading some of these posts.

Now, yet me remind all you people, back in the last Iranian revolution, WE- the US, put this current government in power. In some way or another, it points back to the US. As with Saddam Hussien, in the Iran-Iraq war, guess who sold Saddam wmd's? Yeah that's right, the US of A. A few years later, we get mad Saddam still has weapons, no one seems to mention where exactly he got a lot of them.
Also, if you were to look at the nationalities of the 9/11 terrorists, mainly Saudi's right? Strangely, we've made no move at all towards harming them....

Now, to answer the original topic of the board. The protestors are commonly set up by CIA-types. Also, of course our military can handle it, hey what's a bit of bloodshed for the sakes of Bush looking good!? And, well i'm afraid if this war gets kicked in- it'll go in full swing and all out.

I personally think the whole 'War on terror' has gotten WAY out of hand. Going after Osama Bin Laden was justified I'll admit, but then the Iraq war the short and thankfully none-existent argument about Syria, it all became too much. Now we're going after Iran?
Just to start off with, I am part Iranian, and have lived in the US all my life. Not to long ago, my family spent the summer there, touring around the country, and ya'know something our media would rather lie than admit? Mainly The people over there feel not a bit of ill-feelings toward the US. Just getting to actually speak with someone from the US in english was a thril for a lot of colledge age students. Anything at all made in america is really treasured, due to the sanctions WE put on them.
Now, step back a momement and think, why are we leaning towards a war with Iran? Oh yes, The people who dislike them said they have weapons, therefore giving themselves an excuse to "remove" said weapons. But wait, as both leaders from Syria and Iran have said when their countries were threatned, 'There STILL are no guranteed wmd's in Iraq, yet the Us attacked;'. Besides, who says only the United STates are allowed wmd's?

Sorry to have used so much room, My opinion may be a tad bias - doubt it, but just saying. Thanks y'all, feel free to talk to me if ya want

icm91, it looks like war, but if the protestors in that area get more support from there fellow countrymen, then that govt. is going to collapse.

2nd, yes, our military can handle this even with troops everywhere else. There are not Mass numbers of troops in those area (although it looks like we do). those numbers would be considered low to average for whats going on.

And yes, and then again no, I really don't want to see war with Iran. But fi it does happen, I would support our troops all the way. they're doing their job, and they need all the morale boosters they can get. heck, i'll probably be one of the troops over there if we go within a year or so.

oh no, dubya says this is just a battle in the war on terrorism. ie the destruction of anyone who he thinks might pose a threat or dissagree with us. hell, he'll probably add france to the list. it's part of the axis of evil oh no. iraq and afganistan (the evilness in them anyway) was a creation of the US. we gave em the guns and changed their lifestyles and now a few of em want our heads. he's just scooping up daddy's ****. iran hasn't been saying much lately. saudi arabia has had more terrorists come out of it than any other country, but their government is being cooperative (not that i have anything against saudis).

It's just some idea that the conservative nuts in the white house are throwing around.

I havent heard anything about war with iran, can you explain what its all aobut?

mayb we should try and change our policies instead of attacking "rogue" countries we played a role in destabalizing

Hell, lets just land all of our forces in Morrocco and make a huge push east all the way up to the straights of Taiwan. That'll solve our problems

If the US goes to war with Iran it will be to get votes.

Iran does have democratically elected officials, so you know.

I don't know if I support it right now. If they find some evidence of nuclear weapons or anything that might be a threat, I'm all for war with Iran.
