Should war be kept strictly between soldiers or should innocent civilians be involved too? Used to be armies would go to the battle grounds and have it out. That's not the case anymore.

Killing civilians is necessary for a different type of war than we are in right now. In wars over territory (like WW1, WW2, Civil War) it almost always ends up in total war, its the only way to truly devistate them.

The war in Iraq is much more of an ideological war. It isn't necessary to kill the civilians because most of them realize removing Saddam is a good thing.

Well, here's the thing. Bush is an elected official who's powers are checked by the other branches of government. The war was supported by the congress, as well as most of the population. So the war in Iraq was not "one man's mistake" (I do not think it was a mistake, mind you, just carrying the theme). It was instead, supported, in essence, by the signifigant majority of the population. In Iraq, however, Saddam was the totalitarian despot. His word was law. That's the difference.

Also, the terrorists are not attacking us because of Bush or his policies. They are attacking us because of who we are as a nation and culture, one could go so far as to say civilization. We've had terrorist attacks on us since the 60's.

i know going back to the ols wars concentrated to battlefields is a way better option..

besides why is it that the whole antion pays for the mistake of one man?????

well and when you have guerillas shooting at you in the middle of a market place, you cant just ask them nicely to take it out of teh city. because ultimately they care nothing for civilians.

There is no way to not involve civilians.
