-----"""I'd personally love to go to France. The history, the landmarks, the food, the girls taking their tops off, the scenery, and the people. Screaming in terror after they see a B-52 with a bunch of cruise missles and a clutch of bombs! And just think about it. Mr. Osama bin Painter would be the pilot! Good-bye France! We saved your *** in 2 WORLD WARS, AND YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO HELP US OUT! Damn. """

LOL. France is the reason your @$$ isn't being ruled by the Queen of England. Without the French we would've lost the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and Europe would be ruled by a Kaiser or the NAZI's. Or, if you go back even firther, all of Europe might have been Muslim today if they hadn't kept the Muslims out of Europe for venturies before the middle-ages, and they stopped Russia from making a Soviet Empire in The Crimean War. Also, France gave us our national symbol, you dolt, ever heard of The Statue of Liberty? Personally I think that's cool.

certainly not, is a staright answer to the question of this thread.
France not backing the americans or rather their decision to not be part of the coalition, does not make them bad..
if america can recklessly drop the first atom bomb in the world, however much some people would like to justify that action, then i think every country has the right to posses and use nuclear weapons in self defence..
it should either be like the whole world is equally armed at least till the spoken country exploits its potential hilt and then war would be fair.. america has no right to impose sanctions on any country..the ironic part is that even with all the tons of evidence america has about terrorist groups functioning in a country like pakistan, it keeps giving them millions and millions of dollars as aid..is all that really justified?
peace at any price is no peace at all..
looking at the present terrorist picture in the world don't you all think that violence only breeds violence and nothing else at all ????

Amorrow
i completely agree with you, i wonder why the UN exists? i strongly feel that no country has the right to go against the UN...thats a major bend of universal rules..if america can go against the UN , then i believe that every nation has the right to do what it feels is right..

And outspoken... World War Three will not start over this. No country in their right mind would attack the US by conventional means, no country is even close to having the advanced weaponry and, more importantly, cohesion to launch a successful attack on the United States which would not result in total retaliation.

And if you think WW3 will start over this, would you care to give me a plausable description of how it might happen, I think I'd find that to be a very humorous read.

Russia is not a problem yet, Putin is embarassed at the state of his nation and military but is powerless to do anything about it. Iran has promised to disband their nuclear program, we'll see if they keep their word. They still aren't a threat who we should consider invading, at least they didn't gas the Kurds like Iraq.

And to destroy Erica's comments:

steps to the USA getting itself attacked again
quote:
1)invade, invade, invade!!!! as much as we want...and while we're at it, try to convert all the people in those countries into what we are convinced is the "perfect american".

Oh yes this is exactly what we are doing... You are ignorant. Who have we invaded? Iraq? Yes. Afghanistan? Yes. No one else. I don't know if you watch the news or not but I haven't see the US running around willy-nilly bashing people on the head and taking their oil; both invasions, especially Afghanistan, had significant support in both parties.

quote:
2)other countries get frustrated

Other countries are frustrated by our presence in the region and the interal dissention among their government and quasi-goverment officials. These countries are frustrated by our support of Israel, who would sold weapons to; I would like to remind the Saudi's that we sold them hundreds of M1-Abrams tanks as well.

quote:
we find ourselves with as many enemies as we want!!!

These people are going to hate us because of our nation's religious majority. We don't have to actually do anything convince them to hate us.

"4)these enemies get pissed.
~the more enemies we have, the more likely we are to get attacked again. and isnt george bush's primary goal in his "invasions" to PREVENT us getting attacked again? good job, george."

Its not like a country is actually going to launch a nuclear missle at us, the only enemies to worry about are terrorists, and they already are hell-bent on annihilating us so these invasions have not furthered their hate of us, only damaged their progress.

Paintbucket is exactly right on this issue. All the countrys who pose a threat should be taken care of with a Fatman or a Littleboy. France is full of ungrateful, selfcentered *******s anyway so what would the world be missing if the french die? Pres. Bush should just drop nukes on the Middle East so we can kill all those terrorists over there. No one will be happy over there unless the Jews or the Palistinians are dead I also believe that Mexico should be overthrown, half the American workforce come from that country, might as well claim it as our own.

Hell yeah! Let's invade France. I got a thread I told to one of my ex's who likes France.

I'd personally love to go to France. Damn.

We do need to invade France. The Muslims are about to.

Times have changed yes, however we have a group that was formed to stop these thing from happening its called the UN. They should do a better job, and take more responiblity in the world. We should listen to most the country's that are part of the UN, most of them have been around longer than we have. Aggression is senseless, unless absolutly nessary. Saddam should have been takin out during the first gulf war. The Isreales approced us and asked us if we wanted them to, but we were blind, and said no. Unless the UN security council says we need to send in intervention, we should sit back and watch. The only time we should go in without UN support is if it is the abo****e right thing to do.
