I know of a person who is a strict christian. Her friend said "god dammit" alot and so she confronted her about it and told her to not say that in front of her because it offended her.
In your opinion, do you think this is right? If that person is not of your religion, then can you actually tell them not to say that? Do you have a right to tell them what to do? To the christians out there, how does it offend you?
Also, why does television censor it out when actors say "jesus christ" or "god dammit"? It's not a curse word. It is just an expression that has been culturally passed down and practically lost it's original meaning.
What do you think?

ummm... yeah... i'm a Christian, and i'm pretty strong in my beliefs.... but that's a bit ridiculous. When people take the Lord's name in vain around me... i don't say anything... it offends God, not me.

I say "Jesus Christ" a lot. It offends people, but I try not to say it often out of respect. Maybe I should say "Jebus Christ" instead.. hmm..
