People are just looking for something to follow and that is just pathetic. If you want to be patriotic go out and make a difference in someones life not slap a bumper sticker on your car that came form china. It make sme mad to see all of the people who are acting like they are patriotic all of a sudden but two months before they were talking trash about america and the way we do things. grr grr my angry face here!

Yeah. It really bugs me that all of a sudden everyone is all patriotic. I mean come on!!! It is one thing to put out a flag before but put out a flag because you want to not because everyone else is doing it!!!

I live in Venezuela. And I am a patriotic. I wear a wrist band with my flag, and I have a flag in my car. But I know it's not empty patriotism.

My country is in a huge crisis right now, and we still go to protests and we still voice our opinions against the government even if they could kill us by doing so (like it has happenned in the past months).

Since we (the governements opossition) went on strike the 2nd of December, there have been a lot of people who have risked and lost their jobs because they believe they are doing the best for the country, the possibility of loosing my school year even showed up, if i had to repeat grades for the president to leave, and for the country to improve I would do it without thinking twice.

Now we have to go to school even in saturdays and some part of the vacation breaks to regain all the time we lost, (Im starting school tomorrow, after being without class since the strike started) But it is a sacrifice we are willing to make, cuz this is what we believe in. Ive never loved my country this much, and I think this means being patriotic.

I was at the US while the september 11th thing occured, and my dad bought this little flag thing you put in the car, (i think the money went to the victims familys), it didnt show i was proud of the country, cuz its not my country, but it did show support, and i think thats what people are trying to show when they have their flags in the cars and stuff, it makes them feel better to know that they all feel strong and united.

I don't think sticking a bumper sticker on your car makes you a "Patriot". Maybe you just like them, maybe.
I does not necessarily mean they support war, maybe they just support their country.
But still, it gives no one the right to think they're better than anyone else.

TOTALLY agree! the pseudo-"patriot" that seems to have emerged is very, very annoying. Yeah, yeah, they support America's political stances. What do they want, a cookie?

Patriots don't come in just 1 color, race,ect...
Oh, yeah, you're not supposed to hate anyone under any circumstance!!! Okay? Anyhow, I do think its wrong 4 them to act like they're better than anyone else.
