Question:
A lot of people out there oppose a war with Iraq without thinking about why we are going to war in the first place. True, war is a horrible thing, and that is why most people oppose it. I'm not saying everybody opposes it for that reason.
The problem is that Sadaam has missles that can kill, and although as of a few days ago he agreed to destroy the missles, he asked for more time because he 'didn't know how to destroy them.' A lot of people say he is stalling for time. Time to do what? Think about the facts. There's a lot of US troops over there now. There's still more people here.In the time it takes Saadam to 'destroy' the missles, he can fire others, perhaps ones he's kept hidden even from the inspectors, at us or our troops.
We need to destroy him before he destroys us. That's the whole prospect of war. It's either him or you. Unfortunaly, that's what it's come to. Everyone who opposes war should think about the facts first. Who do you want to die? I personally prefer him, so that more 'you's' can go on living. After all, you can't oppose war when you're dead.
I don't mean to scare you, but it's reality. And those missles in Korea, well, they're closer to us on the west coast than Saadam is. I don't think you would oppose war if someone you loved was blown up. What do you think?

Choices:
I don't want to die! Go to war!
No more blood shed!
I could care less.

Soldiers fight and die so that you would not be afraid to voice your opinions. Everyone wishes that men and women who are willing to give up certain rights fight and die for those rights, would not have to die, but it is their job. They know the risks and are willing to put themselves in harm's way.

I couldn't edit my previous post so I had to repost. My apologies.

The war with Iraq is preemptive, you know that. The link to terrorism is not a direct link between Hussein and Bin laden, but a tie to the Palestinian terror organisation and Saddam's support of suicide bombers. If you do not know this Al Qaeda is a terror network composed of numerous terrorist organizations from Abu Sayyaf to PLO. Saddam has paid a large sum of money to those who have committed suicide acts against the Israeli CIVILIANS, not military. If you do not support the war against terror or the upcoming war against Saddamn, not Iraq, but Saddam, then feel free not to.

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is is soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Does anybody find it disturbing that in 1945, we gave up our Constitution to the United Nations (treaty signed in San Fran. overruled our Law) and in turn, we also agreed to fully disarm our military in three, four "phases"???

We're dismantling our military and our defense forces for the U.N.'s "disarment" agreement.

I find this very, very interesting.

The idea that "this war is different" or "this country is From my perspective, Hussein is far less of a threat to U. S. security than, say, terrorist groups or North Korea. Sure, he has the missles, but why the heck is he going to use them? Because he's evil? Sure he's insane, but he's not suicidal. The mere thought of what we would do to him if he were to attack first should be enough to stop him from ever attacking.

Anyway, this whole "disarmament" ploy is just Saddam Hussein's own little way of stalling time before he does what really matters - diarmament. And if he doesn't destroy all of his weapons within the next five minutes, then I'm afraid it's the Happy Bombing Hour.

The U.S. has missiles and plenty of them. But we did have an agreement with Russia to cut back. We inspected at Russia. Russia inspected here.

But most importantly, we are not a rogue nation. We are not going to use our missiles unless someone brings trouble here, or to some country that is unable to defend themselves -- like Kuwait was.

Think. Yes think for a moment. Saddam had missiles. And lots of them. They have a range of slightly more than 100 miles - so who are they planning to aim them at? Think about it a minute. Which neighbor of theirs are they aiming at?

I'll tell you exactly what I think, moreover, what I know:

The US has missiles that can kill too, but that doesn't seem to bother you so much. So now it's back to you, THINK ABOUT IT.
