No he isnt clpo, thank you for pointing that out. Reagan and kennedy admitedly are far greater presidents than he is.

He's no Reagan or Kennedy, either.

And dont say bush isnt fit or anything... dont even start. Bush is fit to be president. He may not be the best president, but you all seem to act like he's some sort of demon. Have some respect for the man for crying out loud. Just because he's not democrat, he's not the antichrist or Hitler.

Why does it matter? The president should be someone who is qualified and fit to perform his or her duties. Man, woman, gay, black, white, straight, bisexual... it makes no difference. You cannot and should not elect presidents based upon what orientation, gender, or ethnicity they are.

A good point, but I think that people would be much more likely to elect a woman than an openly gay man. Unless the woman was black, or part of some other minority, then I don't know who would win. Personally, I think we're going to have a minority guy as president before we have a woman or a gay person. quote: The ultimate minority president would be a black woman who is gay and Jewish. I just thought I'd say it. Actually in the U.S. I think a Muslim woman would have a harder time than a Jewish woman, so many Americans have a problem with Islamic people.

True. The only thing the fourteen years accounts for is if you are a U.S. citizen at birth born in another country(one or both parents has to be a citizen of the U.S.), or in an american territory. If this is the case then you must have lived in the states for a number of 14 years.

No, you have to be born in the US or be a US citizen at birth. The 14 years don't apply. Fun Question: Who is was first US president to be born in the US (the first few were born in the colonies)? Answer: Martin Van Buren. Impress your friends.

many countries have had female prime ministers/presidents etc. in the UK our strongest ever leader was a woman - Baroness Margaret Thatcher, a superb leader. Turkey had a female prime minister - tansu çiller, and Germany almost had a female leader, and may still yet after the election draw in Germany. and many others im sure, it doesn't mean the US is less progressive, or discriminiatory....although i do agree all the nations i mentioned previously are more progressive than the USA.

It really shouldn't matter if a candidate is gay, straight, male, female, black, white, hispanic, asian, christian, catholic, muslim, jewish, or anything else you can come with. The bottom line is, there are two requirements to run for president of the United States. You must be born in the United States or lived here for 14 years and be 35 years old or older. The President should represent the will of the people, if that will puts in a minority president, I will be more then thrilled. -Beth

Agreed. "I 'suffer' from androgony, but I'd like to run for president..." I think these types of people would be run out of the country... There isn't enough acceptance of anything is what must be realized.

ooh, what about a president with gender dysphoria? Seriously, this is really irrelivant. Whatever happened to the questions about a black president, too? Oh, what about hispanic? There might be one of those! Just get over yourself and vote for whoever the **** you want.
