There will be a female president before there is a minority president. I think that after there is a minority president there will be a homosexual president. I don't know why people are so scared of change, even though its for the best. People need to stop hating and embrace change with a smile because it will happen. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but someday.

True, but how much of NJ actually had a problem with it afterward? I have not found any polls or surveys about this topic, but from the media's speculation, I don't think much of NJ was deeply angered by it. It was more of a general shock, not rage.

I'm not sure McGreevey's a great example, because he put on the facade of a straight family man for years. Had he been openly gay and stood for those same values, then yes. But, and I agree with his decision, he lied to NJ.

Openly gay politicians will have a very hard time gettnig their politics through the curtain of their sexual orientation.
