Who cares if I drink or smoke or chew. all that stuff about nicotean not calming you down is crap. it does and helps me get through some days. as for drinkin when my girl friend left me thats all i had my friends and my parents didnt understand so i turned to the bottel and it helped. they should lower the drinkin age to 18 and the tobacco age to 16.

This is a frightening statement. You want to control all things that do "not give your body a benifit." People use it responsibly. I don't need a nanny, thanks though.

Drunkeness has casused and is causing a lot of social problems for people. Many homes have seperated because both parents spent all their time in the bottles rather then bring up children. children also copy those attitudes from their parents.
60%of accident cases or victims are either under the influence alchol. many lives have parished because of this.
this can be controlled; children under certain age should not be given alchol and alchol should not be sold anywhesre and anytime.
there should be a limitation or law governing this. I am not a medical doctor but I do not know what benefit can alchol give the body.
Drinking should be therefore be controlled.

what so ever the case, you must decide to drunkingly wast your resources, or damage your lives.

I think everyone should drink as much as they want. You will either die or grow out of drinking and then die

You are nuts my friend, you make me rethink my decision to start drinking when I turn 21, it now is apparent to me that it is poison to your body.

I'd like to hear who said that nicotine calms you down. It does the opposite, thus the mental and physiological need and addiction to it. How long ago did you break up?

That was my 300th post, I'm glad it was for something I am so passionate about...

My family was hit by a ddrunk driver when I was 5 or 6. It almost killed my mom, she stopped breathing and we had to go in an ambulance, that has got to be one of the scariest moments of my life. The accident slid one of my mom's vertebrae in so that it just barely did not sever her spinal cord. Then I, at the age of 5 or 6 got to go downstairs and heat up a bottle for my not even a year old sister every morning for several weeks after because my mom was pretty much confined to bed, she wasn't able to go up or down stairs. Then she had to wear a neck brace for a long time after that. She still has back problems, but she can't see a chiropractor because of the risk that it will slide her vertabrae against her spinal cord, which would paralyze or kill her.

Now tell me that drinking is your own problem...

If you lower the drinking age, you raise the licencing age. In denmark, you can drink at like 15 or something, but you can't drive until you're 18. This is so you can learn to drink responcibly before you drive.
