Why are you trying to force on everyone your opinion that thin people are healthy and "fat" people are not?

quote:
Once you have the fat on you from being overfed as a kid...

People don't necessarily get "fat" from being overfed when they're young. It CAN happen from having unlucky genes from your parents.

By the way, eating a smaller breakfast will make it about five times harder to lose weight, rather than easier. Just ask a doctor.

And, your "here's how to lose weight and get in shape" post is ridiculous. No milk? Milk helps you lose weight and keep your bones strong. The caffeine in tea will also make things a tad harder to lose the weight. Fruit and veggie snacks? You might want to specify which ones. Some veggies turn into sugar during digestion.

"You will want to work so hard you think you will passout."

I don't think so. You should only push yourself so hard. Almost passing out won't help anything. If you do the workout you specified too many times a week, you could develop a constant headache. 500 sit-ups a day?! Are you insane?! Running or walking a mile each day and doing a total of 100 crunches a day would be easier on your body and less time-consuming.

Just so you know.

No but once I saw a beagle so fat its legs couldn't touch the floor. It was kind of funny. And my friend's dog is bulimic.

Now you will do your workout, you will do a very intense workout, cardio, like swimming or aerobics. You will want to work so hard you think you will passout. Make sure to keep yourself hydrated, if you drink gatorade or powerade make sure to water it down. Remember what I said, it takes 500 situps a day for 8months for a thin person to get a 6pack. So it will take you a year or two to start to see obvious results.

For dinner you will eat very light, since you dont want to sleep on food. Eat a light sandwhich like a cheese spread, some crackers, salad, fruits. Non fat sorbet for desert. Make sure to take vitamins and suppliments.

Actually, it's been proven that people who eat light breakfasts have a hard time getting in shape. I'm one of those people. I don't like breakfast. I drink milk though. Smile

There are different body "types" :
The Ectomorph, ectomorphs have very high metabolic rates.
The Endomorph, endomorphs have a large bone structure.
The Mesomorph, the guy who goes to a gym doesnt really know how to do anything and gets huge.

There is a weight ratio for your frame and height size. Theres no reason why you cant stay at this weight.

Some people have to work hard to gain weight, and others have to work hard to lose it. Being "FAT" is bad for your health. Once you have the fat on you from being overfed as a kid of course its going to be hard to take off. You will have to change your eating habbits, and work out routines that you were taught as a child.

Right now I'm trying to gain 50lbs and I have the Ectomorph body type, so I have to eat as soon as I can without throwing up from too much food.

On the other hand, I know people who eat nothing but crap, don't get any excercise whatsoever, and still stay brutally skinny.

I don't eat too much and I exercise...so how did I get fat (as you so lovingly call it) if it doesn't have anything to do with genetics?

Why are you still trying to say your fatness is caused by genitics. Do you ever see a fat giraffe? Or any fat wild animals? You eat too much, and thats how you gain weight, I know people like to say they were born fat... thats the parents fault. Not genitics.

bauhaus, stop being a dumb***. I am doing something about my weight---are you not listening?

I exercise every day I get a chance to...and there is always one and sometimes more days than that per week that I just can't because I don't have the time. But I do it as often as I can.

And I eat as healthy as I can but I'm a picky eater. I don't overeat and, in fact, I think I probably undereat.

I've been dieting for several years (though not consistently exercising all of those years) and have still only lost about 20 or so pounds.

It's not that I'm not trying because I am. And it's not that I'm lazy because I'm not. And it's not that I want to stay this way.

But I think stressing about my schoolwork and band and volunteering and my life is way more important than stressing about my weight too so I just try not to think about it, while still eating well and exercising as much as possible.

I do not try to find excuses or anything else like that to explain away my weight. Yes, I know that genetics don't force you to continue living with the weight...but they do give you the weight to begin with. And it's harder to get rid of it if you've always been that way.

oh, i know your absolutely wonderful sugestion. not eating. or as much... worked well enough for me; now i only wiegh around 101 lbs.! seriously don't not eat you could seriously harm yourself. really, being healthy is the most important.

I dont know what your height is, but youre an idiot if you let it drop that low... Loosing weight, means watching your health really close, it doesnt mean starving yourself until its gone too far..

althogh i agree with you on most fat people just being lazy there are allot that are geneticly(dont know how to spell that) fat. for example usually if you have a fat dad and mom you are fat.

Maybe its because they force you into their eating habits as a child. You can be bigger than other people, but not FAT.

killing yourself for a better body? Thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard, since when was working out bad for you? Your health is more important than anything and should come first.

Let me make this statement right away and you can quote me on this anytime, anywhere.. "Your Weight Isn't Determined By Genetics!" There's not a single person on this planet who must live with the curse of obesity just because he inherited the wrong genes.

It's true that you inherit certain body shape characteristics such as bone size, muscle fiber type, muscle length etc. but in no way are they related to your overweight-ness because the parameters of overweight-ness are different for everyone.

If one is overweight and thus tense or even sad due to it but still is not willing to do something about it, then it might be helpful for him to believe that he is not responsible for making an effort to manage his weight. This relates to you worthwaitingfor. you arent doing anyting to help your weight, so you just blame it on something else.

bauhaus

So do you think that every single overweight person is unhealthy?

That is untrue.

Also, genetics does play a part in it. Both of my parents are overweight, thus I am. I don't eat horribly---in fact I eat reasonably well and I don't eat a whole lot in one day. But due to genetics, I am still overweight.

I am not lazy. But I am also in extremely difficult courses, band (which takes up more time than you would think), I volunteer, I have chores, and any time I'm not busy doing all of that kind of stuff, I'm trying to fit in some quality time with my boyfriend. I just can't find the time in my very busy (opposite of lazy) life to fit in killing myself for a better body. Yes, I want it. But do I have the time to work at it? No.

And this is why, people who work out, stay in shape, and eat right really don't want anything to do with fat people.

Imagine your body as a house, and everyone around you is the neighborhood. You can tell who takes care of their yard and keeps there car clean. You can see the ones who don't, they have the pimples, the flab, or the stink, which means their house (body) is a rat hole.

There should be no sympathy for fat people. When I drive down my street and I see a nasty looking house/yard I don't want anything to do with them. I'd wish they didnt even live on the same street, they are an eye sore to the rest of the houses on the street.

I'm not saying fat people live in messed up houses (even though a lot do) but your body is a temple, its your house so take care of it.

Yes, it is true. I had a boyfriend and he left me for a skinny girl soo I wrOte this......

You said I love you
I said it too
But did you really mean it
Or do you think you could get it out of a love kit
I cried everyday
Until my hair turned gray
You said I love you
I’ll call you my boo

You said I love you
I said it too
Why did you say that 4 lettered word
Our love was like a doubled pointed sword
How could you love me
If our love was drifting out to sea

You said I love you
I said it too
I wondered if I’d ever see you again
But how could I ever forget that mean grin
You said I was jewelry
But you weren’t very friendly
How could I ever trust you
How could I call you my boo

no. The rest of you should kindly line up at the edge of the nearest tall building and end your pathetic existances.
