First off, you do not pick a random thread from two years ago and post "hey what's going on?" Go to Randomosity, start a new thread introducing yourself, and you'll find plenty of people to help you.

It's great how everyone seems to think that we're all in this together, but we're not. No one here seems to be pro-choice. Abortion sometimes is the only way out an unwanted pregnancy. I know there are some people who claim there is no such thing as unwanted prgenancies, but what about those girls who get raped? Would you want to end result of such degredation and humiliation with you for the rest of your life, especially if you were only 14 or 15 years old? Think before you answer, because you may think it's murder, but family members have the lives of their loved ones ended when that person no longer is capable of conscious thought, perhaps if they were comatose or the like. It's almost the same thing- the person in question (the comatose person or the fetus) cannot make a decision for themselves so the people closest to it must make the decision that they feel is best. It isn't murder; it's a resort that isn't taken lightly, but is still taken by many. So don't just assume that every woman who chooses to have an abortion is some **** off the street looking for a good time but, oops, the condom broke. Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper than that.

I think that when guys take responsibilty for their part in caring for their child it separates the boys from the men! I don't think some people give enough credit to the males that step up to the plate and take responsiblity for their actions!

Hey, sorry to burst this pretty little bubble that you seem to have blown here, but who is going to let anyone know that they would blow off a girl after getting her pregnant? It's a sad reality. If you want real answers, DrakaiPrince, then look up some statistics. I can see it now, "Hell yah, I would leave that ****! Too bad for her the condum broke! ***** should have been on the pill!" This poll just shows something that we already know. People on this site care about others. The internet is often used to act differently than you normally would. Sorry to be such a pessimest, but someone had to say it.

I'm Drakai Prince, I started this post and I actually think it got a great response!! I wanted to see if those statistics are right, I got them a few days ago, 73% of teenage guys that get their girlfriends pregnant abandon them with the child, if you know anyone like that pound them for me. It's dishonorable, and immoral to leave a new life with a girl that may not be prepared for it. As for my opinion, I'd help raise the child, and if we really loved each other I'd marry her so that the child wouldn't be without a real family. Later People. Drakai Prince

is there an option, really? no. raise the child. show your girl you love her even when "its not convenient." let's look at abortion: we're talking about bumping off a life that is completely at our mercy. didn't your parents ever teach you not to bully small children? that's all abortion is: the kid is in the way and its more convenient to kill than to care. 18 minutes or 18 years. choose 18 years. adoption...an option, but you'd still wonder where your child will end up in life and have no hand in its future beyond letting go. people who bed should be responsible. i'm personally for waiting for marriage, but if you bed, technically, that is the culmination of marriage and should probably become viewed as equal to consenting to marriage. in my opinion, it should be legally binding. it is in the soul; lets face it, when sex happens, part of you goes with that person forever, kid or not....that's what marriage is, right? till death do us part or something like that. guys, don't put your girl to the "if you love me, you'll sex me" test. don't manipulate her. that's not love. girls, think of yourself enough to put your knee in a guy's nuts if he tries to spin you like that. there is Love, and there are Love's many imposters. PrisonBreak out... the slavemaster has no power; we can be free. most of us just don't know it yet.

guys are USUALLY the ones responsible for getting a girl in bed. so it should be the guys responibility to raise his child. if it happened to me, even though i believe in abstanance, lets just "make beileive" so to say. i would quit my drama, get a job that i can make good e-nuff money, if i need to work 2 jobs than i will. and i would encourage the girl that i enpregnated. it would be my responisbility, no way around it.

If I was involved with a girl enough to have sex with her, then I would be prepared for dealing with a child. Depending on our situation, i'd either raise it, or as a last resort put it up for adoption. Sometimes it is advantagous for all parties (baby included) that the baby is not raised by natural parent who are ill-prepared to raise them. Under no curcumstances would I dump her or abandon her. And I consider abortion an abomination against mankind, so my answer to that is obvious.

actually, this just happened to a friend of mine... he had broken up with his girlfriend and then found out she was pregnant. he decided that he is going to be responsible and take care of her and the baby. i give them both props, for not killing the baby, and for working through it.

Your first answer was dump her. ANY guy that does that doesn;t have balls! your second answer was have HER abort it, if she decies to kill a life that is her decison althought it is completly wrong. But anyway my point that i am trying to get at is if a guy has the balls to have sex then he should stand by a girl wether he loves her or what it is still his child and if the girl is stupid enough to get knocked up then she should take care of a gift that was given to her early. AS always Sara

I would have enough honor and integrity to raise the child. I would take up as many jobs as I'd have to raise the child. i could not KILL or ABANDON my unborn child
