Awwe...I'm sorry Go out and do stuff, this weekend I went to a lake with friends and I remember 2 of them were all arguing over this girl who was bigger. I'm serious...guys are out there...most of the women in my family are BIG, and they are all married. If my Dad didn't like big girls...I wouldn't be here. sometimes you just need to go out and do stuff, maybe even explore a little and go places you normally wouldn't..... but I believe there is someone for everyone...ok maybe not DesertEagle...but

Yes. I would date an overweight guy & have sex with him only if I thought he was "the one" Why sould weight matter? it's what's inside that counts. But if I ever date a guy he has 2 be smart, honest, have a great personality & have a great heart.

Would I date an overweight guy? Yes, if I was attracted to him. If I was attracted to him I wouldn't even think he's overweight. In fact the guy I like at the moment isn't exactly skinny, but I think there's no question he's a great looking guy. Bex

In response to my own question (which is only fairp lay) I too, would definitly date an overweight guy. in fact my boyfriend/soulmate is overweight. He is (at least in my opinion) one of the hottest guys I've ever met who manages to be both tough looking and adorable at the same time (don't we all love that!). I understand that everyone has different types (some people like blondes, some people like redheads...) but it really disturbs me, because I don't think the difficulty others seem to have with overweight peiople is just a type thing. It's almost a push by the media (obviously not in all cases). Look how widespread it is. In the old days a guy wanted a plump wife (I'm not sure on status on guys "in" body types throughout the years) because it was a sign she was fertle and could produce many children for him. In the twenties, flat chested women were in. Now we're in this plastic stage, where women are expected to be a size 2 with breasts that take up their own zip code, and still manage to weigh a hundred pounds. And men are expected to be so overtly muscular and lean that they end up on steriods.

Wow what a very very circumstantial question. If I loved her then yes. quote: Guys would you ever date an overweight girl?
Of course, Why not? quote: Would you make out with one?
Yes. If I thought she was the one. quote: Would have Sex with one?
Ditto. quote: What type of woman do you prefer?
I guess the ones without a penis. . . If I like a girl then I will let her know, plain and simple. Beauty is only skin deep. However i don't want someone to say I am prejustice because I am dating someone 30lbs less then the girl next to her.

I would date an overweight guy. You know I really dont understand all of you people. I mean I appreciate a hot guy as much as the next girl, but Ive had crushes on guys that i think are downright unattractive but they just have great personalities. Im overweight and losing weight really isnt as easy as you people make it sound. I have no medical condition, yet I have been struggling with my weight since birth, but its not like I dont try. Do you know how many times I have gotten close to a guy and then have been given the "I just see you as a friend" line?!? grrrr people make me so mad! Hey Billy think you could hook me up with one of your bid girl loving friends? Cuz there certainly arnt any where I live! Bah Im in a bad mood now.

I'm a bit disturbed that so many people on this board seem to think overweight people are "imperfect" and somehow inferior to skinnier girls. But, put the shoe on the other foot, GIRLS, would you date an overweight guy?

I never said that. quote: Most overweight people have a medical problem and CAN'T loose the weight.
Most? Like what precentage? I suspect that is a lot lower than you seem to think it is. quote: Why don't you do some research on this before you come on and diss half the world ( aka overweight people) by saying they don't care because they DO.
I did so some research. This is the link. I'll paraphrase some points of the article. Physical and Psychological Causes of ObesityWe gain weight when we eat more calories than we use. A Family Affair: Genes and HeredityObesity runs in families, but because they are raised in the same enviroments as their parents the obesity could be caused by other things than genes. Some of us can't lose the weight b-cus of medical problems... like my Dad! I might have an medical problem & can't lose weight, I've been trying for 5 yrs! Haven't lost a single pound I just gained weight! Happy? Here's some explanation to some ppl who diss over weight ppl & half don't know what ur talking about! If I offended any1 sorry! i have to admit what the crys769(sry if not right) said is true. overweight people care about how they look probably more than skinny people. my friend who is SOO skinny doesn't even care she throws on some jeans off the floor and a t-shirt but guys think she is sexy. my other friend(overwieght) spends alot of time getting ready, and it's ppl like that who say she doesn't care that ruins it. my mom has PCOD and she can't help but be overweight please some of you guys who are sterotypoing need to pull the ****** and look around. (sorry to be rude ) and i think genes has more to do with it to. my friend spends hours working out, and the sweetest think she consumes (and that is in her house) is unsweetened orange juice!! she is still overweight. overweight ppl do care---and do try--it's just so hard for them. so,overwieght people don't care about how they look or care about other people view her? wake up kid overwieght people DO care but it isn't always possible to make themselves look perfect for guys who want someone perfect. Most overweight people have a medical problem and CAN'T loose the weight. Why don't you do some research on this before you come on and diss half the world ( aka overweight people) by saying they don't care because they DO.

And I am not talking these are some crummy lot of guys either, one of them I know used to get hit on everywhere we went, and he dissed the skinny girls for the big girls. There is someone for everyone, we all just don't like the same things.

quote: My,my,my some of you guys are really shallow, why should it matter if a girls over weight? I'm over weight & I exercise, play sports, eat right & not junk food & I'm still overweight... some ppl that are overweight do work out & all that stuff but it's genetics, just like me... so here's some explenation to you guys who are shallow. & looks shouldn't matter for everything, Let me ask would you date a skinny, pretty girl who's completly dumb? Or has a bad personality? or whould you date an over weight, pretty girl who's smart, & has a great personality?
I knew I would offend somone, I do not hold it against someones personality based upon looks. However I am just not attracted to overweight girls as I am not attracted to say...men. It wasn't conditioning and it wasn't the media, I was simply born that way. I know I like potatos, but I don't like yams. I don't like dumb skinny girls either, I have passed on numerous occasions. I know stuff like this isn't easy to take, but I have been dissed to my face by girls before, you just have to consider...there are alot of people in this world and what does it matter if one person is not attracted to you? LIke I said in your other post, I think you sound like a great person...and that has nothing to do with your weight.

heres an article i found on genetics and being over weight and obesity:
Body Weight and Genes Are You Overweight Because of Your Genes? The relationship between genes and body weight is the subject of much ongoing research. We already know that genetic factors affect weight in a variety of ways and experts believe that obesity (very overweight) may be due to a faulty gene.
WHO Report on Obesity The World Health Organisation's report on Obesity (2000) concluded that: "while it is possible that single or multiple gene effects may cause overweight and obesity directly, and indeed do so in some individuals, this does not appear to be the case in the majority of people." This statement on the gene/weight issue only serves to highlight the importance that genetic influences have on weight and shape.
How Body Weight is Affected by Our Genes Although experts are unsure as to how much our weight is influenced by our genes, several associations between weight and hereditary factors have been identified. For example:
Intra-abdominal fat (fat around abdomen) appears to have a genetic link in the majority of cases. As many as 25-40 percent of cases of obesity may be due to genetic influence. Genes may affect the type of Basal Metabolic Rate we have. A lower-than-average BMR will lead to a tendency to gain weight. Appetite can be affected by hereditary factors. Genes can affect the amount of fat and muscle in our body. This fat-muscle ratio has a direct effect on our BMR and thus on our weight. Our Thermogenesis - the amount of energy we need to metabolise food - may be affected by our genes. This, too, is likely to affect our weight.

Quad4IV, I'm not trying to say it's shallow 2 like a person that takes care of themselves, I was just saying it's shallow to like some1 for their looks... & after I play a sport I don't eat junk food... I don't have any junk food in my house at all... & I can't prove it's a genetic trait I think it is b-cus every person in my family gets cancer & is chubby,so I was just saying it as in my experience... But my docter says it genetics in my family & We have big bones...
iluvjp I know ppl here are expresing their opinions, but I'm tired of ppl having this stereo-type about over weight ppl.
Sorry about my rudness I was just expressing my opinion & I was trying to get a point across & I quesse I did it in a wrong manner,Sorry, SoccerChick13
