I never choose to be straight. Heck, I feel sorta left out in my group of friends cause all the guys are straight, and a couple of my close girl friends are lesbians/bi, so I feel like I should be liking girls since a LOT of my friends do. But I don't. I like guys, and I didn't choose my life to be that way.

Gay people are who they are....if they choose to be that way then they choose to be that way and they know that discrimination comes along in the hole package. But honestly I think that gay people dont listen to the coments and discrimination against them because who they are is all that matters and they should have everyright to be who they are gay or not. i believe that you can be gay and be descriminated agenst and still love themselves... love eachother and stop the hate... stop all of this. deal. if you have a problem with someone thats gay love them not hate them... i have friends that are gay... some have came out to only me... some are free from hiding their sexuality... its beutiful. if someone is in love with another of the same sex... its as beutiful as if someone is in love with someone of the opposit sex. i love my friends that are gay and even though i dont feel the same way, even though im not gay/lesbian im not gunna tell them that they cant feel the way they feel... i still love them if ive know the whole time or if they just came out. i love them as much as i love my straight friends and sometimes more.... because i look at their personality NOT their sexual preference LEARN SOME TOLERENCE! its a big world full of many differences love it AMBER

Something tells me that DaHood already probably knows someone who is gay, but hasn't come out yet....... Tell me this: if it was your best friend, would you stay as close? Would you drop them because of who they're attracted to? And why? Because God says so, or because you're too small-minded to admit that it doesn't really matter who other people sleep with because you have NO CONTROL whatsoever over that?

Then get to know some. They are just like everyone else. I know about four different gay guys and they're all extremely sweet, nice people. One of them is my best friend actually. We hold hands, we hug, we cuddle, we share lockers, and we're even going to the prom together this year. We're inseparable. 5 years ago I would have never believed I'd become friends with a gay guy, but I did and I love him to death.
You need to learn how to get past your intolerant attitude and just talk to a gay person and stop thinking about who he or she is sleeping with. If I can do it, you can.

Hi hon' have you not looked at some avatars or read some of the posts? You are surrounded by homosexual people and heterosexual people. If you are talking about actually knowing someone off of the internet then you probably will never meet one. You hate homosexuals. I have never met a homosexual that would know that someone hated homosexuals and tell them they are homosexual (unless they were doing it to **** them off). Once you take off your blinders and drop the pompous attitude you might just meet a few homosexual people and then if you still hate them you may resume making an *** of yourself.

Indeed people are born gay. I was actually raised in an anti-gay home as it were. My parents despised gay people. As a matter of fact it is a good thing I haven't come out to them or I wouldn't have a home. And people who claim it is a choice to be gay are totally flabbergasted (best word ever) when you remind them that if it is a choice to be gay than it is a choice to not be gay as well. And trust me when I say THAT isn't true. I get on my knees daily and beg the big man upstairs to make me un-gay. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't wish I wasn't gay. Ce la vie. You're SOL pal. Deal with it. That's about all I got from "God". And that has been what I have dealt with for 3 years now and still deal with today. I haven't been on YN for very long but Celtic that is the absolute best post EVER!!! Props.

PEOPLE ARE BORN GAY. I know this will sound stereotypical, and that was probably a really big word for your "fragile little mind", but I don't care about that right now ANYWAY...
I knew I was different when my friends started liking guys and I wasn't nearly as interested as they were. I hadn't been exposed to any gay culture or anything - it was still all a big stupid joke.
