I don't understand. Why do people lie about stupid stuff! Like being a teen mom or being raped or having an abusive boyfriend? You can totally tell who is lying and who is not. Honestly! I am eighteen years old and have a two month old baby girl and it makes me mad when people say they have a baby when they really don't just for the attention. I mean why do people lie about that kind of stuff? It's sick, immature, and shows that you have no life. Any one else have any comments on this? i Know exactley what you mean. Right now i am 6 months pregnant and only 16. When i found out i told my parents and then my friends. I have this one friend however who turned around and started saying that she thought she was pregnant. (which she wasn't). It was all an attention thing she does it all the time. If someone else is getting some she wants it too its embarressing to be around her whilst she does it. Shes accused people of touching her, said she had an eating disorder and pretended toi try and kill herself its pathetic

As you said, the reason they lie about that sort of thing is for the attention they get. I saw an article about a girl who confessed to lying about being raped...It must take some courage to be able to admit having lied, but it's so wrong to lie about something like that. When someone lies about being a victim of rape or abuse, it makes it harder for the real victims to be taken seriously. Someone at my college lied about being stalked and threatened by someone just because she loved the drama and being able to play the victim. It really made me sick.
