A friend of mine is pregnant. She's 14 years old and in 8th grade. I don't know her that well, but one of my best friends and her are really close. I found out today that right after we have our 8th grade graduation, her mom is taking her to Nevada to get an abortion. My friend told me that in Nevada that under the age of 16 you don't have parental rights, so if you get pregnant you have to get an abortion if your parents tell you to, and in Iowa (where I live) you have parental rights so you have the choice to have the baby or not, that's why her mom is taking her to Nevada. I'm not sure how far along she is, but I think she's at least 4 or 5 months along. She told me that you could even get an abortion when you're 9 months pregnant. I can't believe that her mom is making her do this. I think that she should just have the baby and put it up for adoption, but I really don't think I have the right to interfere, because she doesn't know that I know. What do all of you think?

I'm 17 and 8 months pregnant. When I told my mom that I was pregnant, she was shocked for a little while. But eventually, she relaxed and she has been with me every step of the way. I think that abortion is wrong. You shouldn't kill your child just because you made a mistake. I know that I made a mistake and that's what's important to me. i find it sickening that her mother would froce her to have an aborition. i think every life is equal in importance but to stop a life before it begins is worst kind of murder!

i personally believe that if u have the guts and time to lay down and have the sex & make a baby then u should be ready to have the time to take care of a baby. why? well simply because if u knew the consequences of having unprotected sex or even protected sex (accidents occure REMEMBER) then u should take care of ur baby y have sex and not wanna take the responsibilites of taking care of what u and ur partner has made? y not take FULL responsibility for ur actions? if u have sex and end up pregnant or bein a daddy then thats nobodyz fault or responsibility except ur's and guys please when a gurl has sex with u then u get ta callin her a whore and every otha name in the book then u need to stop and think this is my babys mother and i have a child with her so for her to be a whore i slept with her so she cant be to much of a **** or anything else & taking care of a baby is both the guy and the gurls first priority not clubing anymore and remember ur parents r done raising kids at least their own so b4 u have sex consider the alternatives first not just the bumpin -n- grindin and remember there are consequences that goes along with everyones actions and if u really love each other then the sex can wait. That is so sad. Tell your parents or the police or somebody. Actually, I think telling the police is a pretty good idea.

I agree with you SilverB. I find abortion disgusting and deplorable. I find people who have and perform abortions murderers and people who support them accomplices to murder.

EVERY SINGLE LIFE deserves to be respected and defended yet tens of thousands of innocent lives are take in this country ever year. I find it sickening.
