I believe that one of the most theraputic means of dealing with life is through music. Whether its playing an instrument, listening to your favorite group, or just singing in the shower. What do you think about music as an emotional salve?

I agree very much that music can be healing. There is a lot of stuff I have overcome in the last year, which I could not have done w/ out the work of groups like alkaline trio, afi, thrice, authority zero...it is listening to pieces of writing which all bring phrases about life, problems, etc...to the rythm of drums and guitar

It really depends on the person but the idea is very plausible. Country and sock rock song help me to cheer up, and classial can be both soothing and invigorating.

I think music is great to get through life when you are having a rough time. It can take your mind off of whatever you are going through. Or just to listen to it if you are feeling good.Music has man uses. krazykm

I respect musicians so much because they keep making the music that makes us feel good. There is a song for every single state of mind and you feel like you can relate. It is a great feeling to know that someone else in the world was feeling that way too.

I believe that music is one of the main ways of communication in life. Infact in some countries things that are forbidden are told through music to escape the harm of the government. If there was no music i believe the world would be bored and useless because if you can't express yourself through words then all you have is nothing.

I agree all the way with you. Music is amazing to sooth any mood. It also helps to drown out surrounding noise and make you seem like you're all alone in a world with you and the sound of your music. Where would we be without it?

I love music as a spiritual healer. I literally have cds that are almost catagorized to my mood, if I'm depressed, I know this particular cd will cheer me up, if I'm in a good mood, I have some tunes to just sit and rock out to....music is I think the one universal language, everyone can communicate with it, and there is a style of music for everyone that touches them.

The best theraputic song in my opinion (in mine, I didn't say yours! Don't jump down my throat!) would have to be Pachebel's Canon in D Major performed by Lee Galloway. It's so beautiful, I can't possibly describe it... So just download it and you'll see. Love (bunches), Dixie (hey look it's me again!)

I cant go a day without music! I love to sing everywhere I go.I heard that musicians live longer because of the joy that they get from music. Music definatly takes my mind off of bad things, except when I sad song comes on, then I think about something sad. lol

I LOVE MUSIC !! It totally helps me vent. It really does help you deal with tough times. But, I know that some people don't like music though, so I hope that they can find something that helps them as much as music helps me !! luv alwayz ~ Lianna

Wow! I totally think that music is the ultimate therapy for whatever your problems may be. Music is a window to our deepest emotions and it helps us vent our feelings when plain words just dont do the trick. Music can help us understand why something happend in our lives or what to do about a situation we are confused with. Music is theraputic when we've had a hard day and just need to relax and unwind, or when we are setting the mood for a special time. Music can be a tribute to something important and can add that certain funk that we need to just have fun! Music relates to our lives when nothing else can. It is the true American poem. Thank God for music!
