Thursday I had something really bad happen to me and my group of friends. I got a call at 4:26 telling me that my ex boyfriend who I am still extremely close to and his best friend who is also my friend had got in a car accident. They were hit by a semi and the truck was totaled. It is now the Monday after that Thursday and both people in the truck and the semi driver are okay. The semi hit a house and did much damage, but everyone is okay. Since then, I realized that We are all so very lucky to have each other. The little fights and arguments are stupid in the long run. We should be more worried about each other than fighting!!

Have you ever had something happen to you that made you realize an important lesson?

I have had that same experience only mine ended in tragedy instead of happily! Remember what you have and love what you will but never forget the ones who are true friends. Frown

Something similar to that happened to me. On some day in January, I decided to stay after school instead of going straight home. My sister went home right away instead. I got on the bus to go home and find out the bus was in an accident. Ok. The bus driver said my sister was on my little brother's bus with him so he wouldn't be scared (at that time he rode a handicap bus). She gets home and tells me it was my ex boyfriends car that ended up in the back of the bus, underneath. I freaked. Apparently, the snow drifts were high and the wind blew thick snow and no one could see. My ex saw the bus and stopped. The car behind him didn't see and rammed him into the back of the bus. Thank God, he was fine, but the car was totalled. It made me realize that it was ok to still care about him. I told him so and we've been somewhat closer.
