I went to the dermatologist today only to find out that the Accutane has caused my cholesterol to skyrocket. I've been put on a Low-Fat, Low-Cholesterol diet. This means that I need to change my whole style of eating. Leafy green vegetables? Whole grains? What are those? Any suggestions on things that don't taste like rabbit food...but that will help reduce my chance of a heart attack at the age of 20?

I found out that I can eat chicken and turkey as long as it's skinless, plain and has no visible fat. I think I will stick with that instead of fake meat, but thanks for the suggestions.

And the mini veggie corn dogs.

I eat the Bocca brand. Its fake meat. It tastes good with lots of veggies though. No, I am not a vegetarian.

Hmm...I will have to try that. Thanks guys. I went grocery shopping and bought tons of food...I may end up vegetarian by the time this is all said and done. The only meat I bought was some lean thin sliced turkey for sandwiches...and I'm not that enthusiastic about turkey snadwiches anyway. I bought a crazy amount of fruit, some carrots (to eat with fat free salad dressing), alfalfa sprouts (which I can hopefully sneak into a smoothie without noticing too much) and lettuce. Then there's the whole grain pasta and rice, oatmeal (which I'm eating now...it's kind of gag, even though it's apple cinnamon flavor), baked chips (barbeque and sour cream and cheddar), bagels with fat free cream cheese, pretzels (which can also be eaten with the cream cheese), jello, cheerios (regular to eat with bananas and apple cinnamon as a grab and go meal item). Hopefully these items will help me get through the next 5 months...

This morning I had one with strawberries, rasberries, blueberries, cucumber, brocchli, lemon juice and water. Apples, strawberries, bananas, carrots and alfalfa sprouts are pretty good too. Any combination should work, I just reccommend not using veggies with strong flavors, like onions.

They may have ideas, though.

We have an organic food store near us; I don't know that it's necessarily healthy... And EG, what are some different fruit/veggie smoothie combinations you have tried and liked? I love smoothies, but I've never branched outside of strawberries and bananas.

Do you have a local Coop or health foods store?

I personally get all my fruits and veggies by making smoothies. You could also switch to a raw food diet if you wish, which can be pretty tasty.
