Yeah, Satan pulled a good one on you. You claim to be Christian, but you aren't. Here's the facts.

If your word is true, how come yall always have to change it around and destroy the old "bibles"?

If you're female, why do you want to be eternally pregnant?

Why did blacks not get full rights until 1978? Why do you think they sided with Satan? And why didn't they go anywhere but the Outer Darkness before then? Blacks can be violent, but some are the best people I know.

If Elohim came from another Earth, and the god that made him came from another and so forth, where did the first god come from?

The Jews never reached Malta, which means they never hit Gibraltar which means they sure didn't get to America.

Is Mary a heavenly mother?

Why can't you have caffeine?

Why did you have to edit the Bible when it was right? Read Revelation 22:18-19 in the real Bible to find out why you shouldn't.

In the real Bible in Revelation, the archangel Michael easily beat Satan. To claim Jesus and Satan are brothers and equal in strength is absurd. Satan is an angel, and he can't beat Michael, let alone Jesus or God.

If you're right, you're a god and I'm an angel in the next life. But if I'm right (Which I am, by the way) I live in heaven and you get a one-way ticket to Hell.

Now can you see Satan tricked you?

Firstly, most of these are not facts; they are questions.

First question...there is other sctipture...but I don't understand how that destroys anything.

Next, where does it say mormon women must be eternally pregnant? I know a great number of LDS women who are not eternally pregnant.

They didn't get full rights because until then, people in the church had assumed that they shouldn't. Actually, the LDS church was one of the very first churches to have Black people over white. Segregation isn't really all that old.

It is considered to be infinate. Infinity is quite a common concept actually.

I can only say to this that you do not have proof that this never happened. It is much easier to prove that something did happen than to prove it didn't.

According to LDS doctorine, Mary is a mortal person. What does this question have to do with anything?

Caffeine has an effect on people and is addictive. How many teachers and friends do I have who can not wake up without their daily dose? I think the better question is why should LDS people have caffeine?

Because...according to Mormon Docterine it wasn't right. Honestly, when making arguments, you start with things that can be agreed upon by both parties or you will simply be shot down.

Satan isn't equal, he has no body according to the doctrine taught by the LDS church.

I can't see how the last one is any argument at all. Sorry. Too me it looks like someone being a wittle bit too sure of himself. Just a wittle bit.

Let's just say, in IB, your "arguments" would be laughed out of the room.

Please don't take any offense at this. I just think you should look at a situation a little more before you critize it so harshly.

"If Elohim came from another Earth, and the god that made him came from another and so forth, where did the first god come from?"

Elohim means, in Hebrew, Gods plural and genderless. It is not another name for Yahweh. Just so you know. In Genisis, there are two creation stories. The Elohim's and Yahweh's.

This should in the 'Spirituality' section. Smart, paintbucket.

Why can't Mormons have caffeine or hot drinks? I don't see anything wrong with warming yourself up... Confused Not trying to tick anyone off, I do really want to know why.

Listen, there are two ways of getting into heaven and i will tell you them.
1.Accept Jesus Christ as your savior and accept that he has died for your sins.
2.Live a PERFECT life.

When God looks down on us he sees us as sinners.
God sees every sin the same, in god eyes a curse is as bad as a murder.

By perfect i mean saying crap once will send you to hell, so accepting jesus as your savior is basically the only way to get to heaven.

I totally agree with therootofevil about the literal interpretation of the bible. The oldest versions of the bible, namely the old testament, were written as a documenary of the Isrealite nation, much like the Anglo-Saxon Cronicle in England, and it reads much like it. Only when christianity came along did the idea that god was guiding the fate of all nations come into belief, and that is not what the origional purpose was.
Also, the book "THE HOLY BIBLE" has been changing since it was writen, for, i think Paintbucket is forgetting, BY PEOPLE. The origional versions of the old testement found in the Dead Sea Scrolls is grossly disimilar with what we see today, and the slow passage of time will change it more, as it is being overtaken by science...

i hope i misunderstood this quote, but i think i get the jist of it...do u seriously think that the african race rose up as a whole and declared a pact with satan?...the african race did not need any mythical beings to gain their given right to be equal and free with the rest of us. It makes me sad to see someone say such a blatant word of bigotry, especially one so misinformed

The girl who gave me that info via AIM said there was a smaller branch of Mormonism...perhaps the idea of multiple Gods exists in that denomination?

I'm a little shocked by that actually
Got it from a Mormon friend - I thought it sounded a little crazy myself, but it's what she said. Sorry if it's not true.

Sorry to bring back a dead thread, but I got a Mormon friend of mine to answer some of these questions for you, Red. She was rather amused by your post. So here you go:

"Eternally pregnant. *snorts*."

"The part about the blacks not getting rights. That I don't completely understand myself. I don't believe it's right, but of course I don't have to agree with every part of my religion. Besides, other churches didn't let Blacks be ministers or preachers either, so that's invalid."

"Destroying the old 'bibles.' There's only one bible, and several versions. We use one of them, plus another book. How is that destroying?"

"The part about outer darkness... we didn't (or at least I don't believe that we did) that blacks went to outer darkness. I thought that was only reserved for murderers"

"Can you do me a favor and ask him how Malta and Gibraltar got into the picture? Do you mean Nephi and Lehi when you talk about the Jews going to America?"

"We can eat chocolate, drink coke. ect. The church doesn't want us drinking hot drinks- tea, coffee- but hot chocolates ok for some reason. Chocolate is fine. Coke and caffinated soda is not prefered- probably because of caffine, but they don't say that we can't drink it."

"We don't call her a heavenly mother. Just the virgin mary. I'm not sure what Heavenly Mother really implies."

"The one about Michael and Satan- did you know his name meant light?- but we believe that everyone was equal. Michael had more people on his side. I believe the ratio was 3-1. Satan was outnumbered. And as a side tangent, we believe that everyone had to pick a side. There would be billions of us. Michael also had God on his side."

Her response to:
"Mormon's worship one God. They believe, however, that God has a god, and that god has a god, etc."
is:
"I'm a little shocked by that actually. Numerous Gods. That's a new one. We have God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. All seperate people but there is only one God."

here's the facts: cristians are a bunch of hard headed people that are mostly good untill you try to question some of the contradictions in thier beliefs. cristians biggest problem is that they take the bible litteraly way more than than it was origionally ment to be and don't reolize that many of the social teachings in the bible have expired.
the origional mormons are a bunch of christians that were scamed by some h0rny guy claiming to be a prophet that used religion as a way to get sex and money from his followers. (please look into the begging of the morman religion around the time of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young it's disgustingly horrible). there is so much evidence that proves wronge everything Joseph Smith ever said or wrote it's ridiculous.current mormans are amazingly good people exspecialy compared to where they started from. they accomplished this by changing almost all of thier origial beliefs. and mormans are almost always realy good people untill they start reading some of thier own books

We Christians have not been tricked by Satan. YOU have. You have been tricked into thinking God is a piece of scum. He isn't scum. Satan is.

*laughs* are you the nun that knew me in school???

seriously, lower your ego. if your god and your heaven and hell exist, there is no way i am going to hell because unlike you, god wouldnt be so stupid as to think that just because i am pagan i am a bad person. in fact, paganism made me a better person.

secondly, you have no say in the religion i choose. no one has. not even my parents, whom i get along with well.

third, open your mind. ghandi wasnt christian and he was a wonderful man, buddha wasnt (he DID exist under the name of Siddharta Gautama), i am not, please, dont be so dumb as to think that if one isnt christian your evil. that is such a medieval monk belief. maybe you reincarnated from one of them...

-arianhorn

my name is derived from the celtic godess of the moon Arianrhod, in case youve been wondering. given that my dad was raised in celtic beliefs, he named me that.

Mormons completely changed their belief system. Prodestants didnt agree with the Catholic church they didnt change the bible. Christains revised the bible from old english (thy, thee and so on) to new english (you). They never changed the content. Before you open your mouth you might want to consider the facts. Ever Heard of Martin Luther (not King) The guy that came up with 99 points? The guy that started the Lutheran Church? Ring a Holy bell for ya? Catholics took the bible and added a bunch of rules and yes they havent changed it, good for them. What was your point?

dont come trying to make me sound dumb, i may be the only (or one of the few) teens out there interested in the middle ages. so let me date back. christianism started as ONE. it divided. simple. and if it didnt change the bible, how come my protestans ex had a different bible, my moms mother did too (a jenovas witness), and so on. anyways, catholicism is half corrupt.
