I like this guy...we hang out sometimes but mainly b/c he's friends w/ my best friend. He stops to talk to me, calls sometimes and such. However, he's really shy...and I talked to my friend and she said he probably wouldn't be the one to take the first move b/c of that. What can I do to find out if he really does like me like that and if so, what do I do to make the first move w/o scaring him?

Just ask him. Trust me, even if he's shy, he won't be as shy if say something like, "Hey, I think you're cool and I really like hanging out with you. Do you want to go out with me sometime?"

If you go ahead and tell him your feelings, he won't be too shy to share his. My current boyfriend was really shy when I told him I liked him but he still got up the nerve to tell me he liked me back. Even if it turns out he doesn't like you like that, he seems like the type that would still be your friend.

What I always tell people is that the worse that can happen is he says, "No." And trust me, it's not that bad. I got told no three times before I got a boyfriend but I kept on trying.

Just get him alone and ask him. It works the best I find.
