I hear many Christians today say that it is right and moral to wait for sex before marriage. They also say that masturbation is wrong because it is like reckless abandon (wasting potential life and whatnot). But, can both be good? I mean, as *****cent teenagers who are at the hight of their sexual hormones we have a natural sexual urge, but if it would be safer and better to wait until marriage to have sex, can masturbation be a moral subsitute? Another way, perhaps to quench that urge to have sex?

I have no idea honestly. But I have never read anything in the christian bible that says you cant masturbate before marriage lol.

Sex isn't the same thing as masturbation. Sex is a more intimate act, and masturbation is just exploring your body and learning about what you like. I'm a Christian and I don't see anything wrong with masturbation. I think it's more moral to wait until marriage to have sex though...or at least until you KNOW you've found THE ONE. I guess because it's kind of gross and immoral to have more than one partner.

I been wanting to ask that question too. Because I'm a chirstian too but everything you hear from people at chruch and people on the streets can be confusing.

I personally don't quite know how I deal with not having sex. See, I'm waiting until after high school before I lose my virginity to the woman I love, so I know from experience that it can be pretty trying. However, I don't masturbate all that often, nor do I take out any of this pent-up energy in sports or other such things. I suppose I just suppress it. I'm not that horny.
