Proactive works pretty well, but you have to keep with it for a few months to see the full results. But you can notice a difference in about 1-3 weeks. Water doesn't help your face. Stuff in your body cannot come out of your skin and help your face. Chocolate and fried foods do not cause acne either. It's a proven fact. If you really cannot find a treatment, go to a dermatologist. If you don't want to do that, live with it. -Sunset

Eh, wash your face and drink more water, I suppose.

Just washing your face once or twice a day will keep your clean, and it might prevent or treat some acne or pimples.

How bad is your acne and for how long did you use face washes/acne cleansers before you gave up using them?

I dont know what to use to wash my face! Because with everything i use, it seems like more comes...what should i use?? Ive tried That day and night stuff, it worked but its so expensive where i am to buy more. Ive tried volcity, that didnt do ANYTHING at all. Ive used morning wash, that made my face smell weird and didnt do anything. And ive tried Black head wash, which isnt the kind i need... Ahh!!

To gross everyone out, I started using Tazorac in the summer of '02, and it not only took care of my acne but dried my face out completely. It got to the point where I looked like I had a peeling sunburn covering my face 24/7, and that's when I decided it was time to abandon treatment and just live with it. Like northstar's, it's best described as mild but persistent. It seems to go in cycles, too: sometimes it gets bad, other times you'd never know I'd had acne in my life. And if anyone is intending on asking me why I don't just try a different medication that I'd react to better, shut up. You sound like my mom.

I was on acne medicine for a few years before I decided to take myself off.

good idea. I'm taking accutane for my (mild, but persistant!!) acne, so you all have to be nice to me.
