Yes, we know abortion is the removal of a fetus from the uterus spontaneously (miscarriage) or medically. Is it right for abortions, medically, to be performed on girls under the age of 18 without parental consent.
I think the parents should approve on whether their "child" can or cannot have an abortion. If the family isn't financially capable of supporting a baby then sure abortion should be authorized by parental consent and vice versa.
Point: because the girl is so young and aborting her child can be a risk to her life then she shall not have abortion without parental consent.

if a girl under 18 gets pregnant and is clearly not ready for a baby and doesnt want to tell her parents i think she should be able to get an abortion without parental consent. i know that if i were pregnant i probably wouldnt want to tell my parents, but would probably want to get an abortion. it is a tough one to answer...

That is one of the worst abortion arguments on record. At least come up with something with actual backing instead of suppositions. For all you know, it could be the next Hitler, the next Stalin. Just don't use this argument.
Listen, I didn't put this up as an argument, I put it up as what I believe. And to be completely honest, even though what Hitler and Stalin did was totally wrong and inhumane, they were two of the best leaders this world has seen. All I was trying to say is that you never know what kind of an impact a person could make until you can see what they are capable of.

There's a subtle kind of irony in this whole debate. Pregnant girls under 18 have to have parental consent to get an abortion because, by the law, they aren't mature enough (read: old enough) to make informed decisions on their own. In other words, they legally have no say, even in their own life, until they're 18. If this is the case, then why do people insist on allowing fetuses a "voice," so to speak, regarding their life? Like it or not, parents have an overriding say in what happens to their kids. They can deny them vaccinations, education, even food (although the last one will get CPS on their butts) solely because the kids are under 18. Why should fetuses be any different? I mean, until the umbilical cord is cut, the fetus is a literal part of the mother. What the mother says regarding the fetus goes, at least until the fetus turns 18 and can make informed, mature decisions.
The more you know, the less you don't know.

There are different sides to these situations, and the one I take is this: it is not the baby's fault how he or she was conceived. So why should the child have to pay with her life?

I believe that if the parent is not financially capable of supporting a baby, then she should carry out the pregnancy and hold him/her up for adoption. Everyone deserves a chance at life, and money should not make the choice if a child should live or not. The way I see it is, abortion is murder. That baby that is being killed could actually be the next Einstein and find a cure for common disease, or find a solid solution for world hunger. Unless the child has absolutely no chance of being able to breathe by itself or think for itself, then it deserves a life.

Right to life. No abortions should take place especially if your just trying to get out of being in trouble. Im new to the boards and im not sure if cursing is allowed. So ill put it like this I was born outside of marriage and was put up for adoption. My parents wre 17 and 16 when i was born and naturally i am grateful they didnt abort me. So just go through the pain of labor(you deserve it) and put the baby up for adoption.
