To set off the Christian overtones of so many other posters [not that they are wrong/right], and answer this question:
1)Why Do not feel pressured into any religion. It is within your soul you will find your personal answer to who is your God and what you call Him/her/it/whatever.
2)All the right reasons Please don't leave the choice of religion to a way of becoming liked, popular, or anything of the sort. Popularity and/or a general welcomeness won't make you whole inside. Only a FAITH that fills your mind, body, and soul can bring a perfect completeness to your life.
3)Faith I would also like to stress something that may have not been considered. Religion and Faith are two seperate things. For a classic example I will use the diversification of the Christian churches. Catholicism, Baptism, Methodism, Evangelicism, etc. All of these sects of religion are based on the same Faith that binds them together. The one God, and his son who gave his life for the sins of the human kind.
I can only bare witness by my words and my life as to what I feel is my way. Unfortuantely many Christians feel it is their position in life to do their best to force their views on others that do not see as they do. Many of those such Christians I have had deep spiritual discussions wth have come to realize that, while I do not worship as they do, I have a Faith that drives me harder and farther than they or many of their closest friends.
4) Myself I consider myself fairly unique. I am a practitioner of Wicca, holding true in every way to the creed, and all standards set forth. It is my choice of religion. My Faith is what makes that choice so different. In the depths of my heart I recognize there to be One being in control, though He/she may manifest in various and diverse forms, they are resposible the creation of my life, all that I have, and all that I am. For that I am gratefl in all that I do, say, and am.
As I previously stated, I do not mean to tell what is right, merely show you the way to choose for yourself. I'd like only to help anyone reading this to recognize one thing: Religion is a practice, Faith is the way. Your heart and soul will tell you your faith. It is up to your mind to choose how you express that via religion. Oh, and take your time, because rushing in can cause serious problems later if you find you have chosen incorrectly. [personal experience]
Find your faith, then your religion!

Lynne you have the right to say whatever you want, don't let someone try to rule you by fear. If you let someone take away your mind and your ideas, that is so much worse then spitting in your face. You can believe anything you want and still be open to other ideas. quote: The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die. 2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB

Being open minded isn't spitting God in the face. Alot of those religions worship God.

If you are a christian by talking about what you would change to if your belief was wrong is like spitting in God's face! You dishounor his word and you dishounor his blood! he died for you and if you have any doubts, then... I don't know... Just, YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE!

Well, if I found out that what I believe is totally wrong, like an angel told me or sumthing, I dunno what I would choose. I'd be so sad I'd prolly be at least an Agnostic or Atheist if I was very depressed. Whats Judaism (sp?) is that being Jewish? Can I choose Catholicism? I've always had this sneaking desire to be a Catholic cause they're Christians too but their churches are prettier and people like Catholics better. and also since I watched A Man For All Seasons.
Lots of love, Lynne

i would die before i changed my religion! i'm a firm believer in christianity, and its definetly cool if you're something else, but i wouldn't want you to give up all you're beliefs and change to my religion, so i hope you don't expect the same out of me. just stick with what you believe and you're an awesome person

I am not any religion and I would not change it because religion is pointless. It was all made up by people in the Dark Ages as a comfort for the hard life they led and it was something to look forward to after life.

I think Jelly means just IF you would like to change it, what would you change it to?
I know you don't want to change your religion but lets just say you are having a miss of faith and you stop being whatever religion your are so what then? What would you be then?
I think that's what Jelly was trying to say.
But I really don't know. I could have a misunderstanding here.
I would probably be a Wiccan
Bye N Have a nice day
