Being a teen myself, I'm beginning to find it rather annoying that all of these above the influence commercials are always on. Not because its a commercial, but because it makes me a little nervous to be sitting on the couch with my parents and then a commercial come on and tell them I'm a constant drug actict because I'm a teen, or that people always offer me drugs, or that I can't stand peer pressure. For all of the parents out there: all of us teens aren't drug abusers. And yes, I do realize that the tobacco companies are required by law to tell kids not to do drugs.

Well with your parents, if they go to you and get all paraniod that you WILL take drugs then you should just sit them down and make sure that they know you wouldn't. If your parents know anything, then a full frontal confrontion will make them sure that they can trust you.
If you stand out in a croud, it doesn't mean your a freak. It means your an individual.

If you don't do drugs chances are your parents know, and unless they are complete idiots they won't take ads seriously so there's no reason for you to worry. If they do take them seriously and bug you about them then you should consider the possibility of them having a weakness of character prolem, in which case the issue is totally alien to you and thus shouldn't be of you're concern.

Haha, I've had times like that where my parents were in the same room as me watching TV and a "teen aware" commerical comes on. "Talk to me about sex!" the kid on the TV says. It just gets ackward after the commercial... Usually I find it best to leave the room, lol.
As for the teen drug commercials, well I strangely feel guilty when those commercials come on even though I don't take drugs. It's like wow, now my parents are going to be somewhat suspicious with me.
I suppose the only way it could get worse would be if a "cheating at school" commercial came out. (though that shouldn't happen) I play video games a lot at home, and it's rare my parents see me do my homework, though I have what I consider good grades. If they started accusing me of cheating in school, that would just ruin my home life.
