***In order to reply, you have to read the whole post. if you don't, you'll miss my point***
i had a startling revelation the other day...
first, notice that moving "clockwise," would be to move from right to left. that said, you can see that we revolve around around the sun clockwise, and the moon revolves around us clockwise, and we spin clockwise. some of the oldest languages in the world (primarily the mediterranian ones) were written down going left to right.
furthermore, we as humans, seem to favor right-handedness. we keep on saying things like "the right hand of soandso," or "right wing ideas." the right hand was supposed to represent a dominance in the world (primarily male, in most cultures). the left was a side devoted to things unorthodox and new. something completely different than your regular routine.
what i ask from you is to consider this: could there be something so pre-prehistoric, something so ancient, before the first fish managed to crawl out of the sea, that would make us favor the right hand? something as old as the stones that created us? perhaps something as old as the hand that made those stones...
of course that's just a right-brained way of thinking......

when man first came out of the dark of woods after thousands of years of evolution he saw a bush of berries and he started picking them with his right hand and would hold the berries in his left. as a result over millions of years the dominant hand has become the right hand because it was more excercised and had more motor skills. and the left arm became useless and hasnt been used since other than the sole purpose of pushing buttons on the elevator

I am ambi or as I like to say "both-handed". I'm very creative and I think that whatever side of the brain you use the most that it has an effect on which hand you use. Lots of left handed people that I've met have been creative/artistic. This book called "Drawing from the right side of the brain" is awsome if you're interested in it. One thing that it points out if that being left handed always had a bad connotation. Did you know that lots of kids that are left handed can develop speech problems and other things if you try to make them become right handed? Hmmm. Just thought that was interesting.

My step mom started out being left handed then her 3rd grade teacher made her sit on her left hand while she writed with her right. So now she is right handed.
Did you know that left handed people are more likley to get in a car crash than right handed people? It's because left handed people use their left hand it hold their cell phone. Then when they look out their window to change lanes, their arm is in the way, and they crash.

yeah i think left-handers die earlier because of all these right-handed spiral notebooks, and those tiny desks that only have room to right on the right side and all those right handed scissors and right handed wrenches, ect. maybe they just give up and die because of all the inconvenience...
my neighbor is vietnamese and he was lefthanded but that was supposed to be like "evil" so his parents forced him to ONLY use his right hand so now he is right handed! weird.
i do everything besides write, left handed and im left footed. did you know even animals are "handed"? all polar bears are left handed. and even like crows prefer one side of their beak over the other. and crabs usually have a bigger claw than the other.

...interesting, Dr. Strangelove (or how i learned to stop worrying and love the bomb)....
i told this to my uncle and he asked "what about the people living in australia? to them, the world is gauchisto (left).
but consider the theory of continental drift. could all life have possbly sprung from the same area? that's why they called the mediterrenian the "cradle of life," isn't it? and that's above the equator...
anyway, i'm sure your theory is as viable as anyone's.

quote: first, notice that moving "clockwise," would be to move from right to left. that said, you can see that we revolve around around the sun clockwise, and the moon revolves around us clockwise, and we spin clockwise.
This is all reletive to your position in space. Flip your perspective over, we rotate counter-clockwise. quote: some of the oldest languages in the world (primarily the mediterranian ones) were written down going left to right.
This is most likely due to man's tendency to right handedness. When you right something down, you'll find it's easier to move in a direction where you're hand does not pass over what you just wrote. Left-handed people will know what I'm talking about. quote: furthermore, we as humans, seem to favor right-handedness. we keep on saying things like "the right hand of soandso," or "right wing ideas." the right hand was supposed to represent a dominance in the world (primarily male, in most cultures).
This again, is based on the genetic predisposition for people to be right handed. The vast majority are. Therefore, the right hand in ancient philosophy took dominance, as it was the most important of your two hands. Thus people most likely used this as an analogy. quote: what i ask from you is to consider this: could there be something so pre-prehistoric, something so ancient, before the first fish managed to crawl out of the sea, that would make us favor the right hand? something as old as the stones that created us? perhaps something as old as the hand that made those stones...
Most likely it's a dominant genetic trait that was developed in early hominids. It would be interesting to see, however, if other higher lifeforms favor using thier right side.
