Why youths take drugs and smoke when they know its life threatening?

I try to avoid the pigs. (i love the British) but i have done drugs, it helps take away all of your problems. and they calm your nerves, but smoking does that too, and it's legal.
I'm confused... about life. and life hates me.

They do it to be cool. Or they just can't take their life anymore, so they try to ease the pain. Soon they will all find out what they have done and how it won't help, but it may be too late by then. quote: not that i would recommend punching a cop of course.

are you dumb? I just said why I do it, am I not a person? honestly i don't think i know anyone that does it because it's illegal. If you want to do something illegal punch a cop.

I think that people start to take drugs and then they can't stop, most drugs killls off their braincells so then they really can't tell that it is harming in, crystal meth is the worst i have never tried srugs and never will it is like killing yourself. Quit NOW! quote: Quit now

you take drugs to escape for a little while...im not saying it is right but it is the way it is...i smoke pot occasionally and i have done alot worse until it affected my life in a negative way...you dont hear of people dying from smoking weed so i dont think its the drug to worry about the others are...but i have no place to judge

I smoke pot because it makes me happy but i dont recommend it to anyone and i took it knowing it was bad for me but i didnt care mainly because it doesnt seem like its gonna affect you. all you care about is being happy if only for a few hours

I don't think that people do it to get away from depression or to fit in or for the experience...drugs are things that are put as sort of off limits to our society in America...they're bad, theyre not legal blah blah blah...sooo lets try them! thats how we view them, we are a society that if we're not allowed to do something we're going to do it simple as that...in other countrys where it is legal or not such a big deal they do not have the problems that we do here in America...I do not think that drugs are good and that everyone should use them but maybe if they were legal or not so highly discriminated against we wouldnt have the problems that we do now
