THE MALE BODY IS A WORK OF ART BUT IT ALL DEPENS ON HOW U SEE IT, JUST LIKE ALL GIRLS DON'T WANT TO SEE THE FEMALES BODY, BUT IT IS STILL A WORK OF ART IN THE MALES EYE AND ALL MALES DON'T WANT TO SEE THE MALES BODY BUT IT MAY BE A WORK OF ART IN THE FEMALES EYE.
I THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE MALE NUDITY IN MOVIES BUT A MAN WOULD FEEL MORE UNCOMFORTABLE THAN A WOMEN REASON BEING THAT IN SOCIETY TODAY LADIES ARE FORCED TO FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT THEIR BODY THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM EXPOSEING IT BUT MEN ON THE OHTER HAND FEEL THAT THEY ARE BEING VIOLATED AND BY WATCHING THEY WOULD BE CONSIDERED GAY/BIO
I dont consider nakedness an artform unless its painted in tasteful way. but tasteful is realitive too. I think that women can handle seeing naked women more on screen because they are more secure with their bodies. It is taught in our society or should i say was taught and still has its effect, that men are dominant so it is a way for them to feel more dominant if they are exposed and it has always been taught to women to hide their sexuality (not on screen but in their life) and to see male nudity shows part of their sexuality exists (ahh!). I also think that men are taught to feel manly manly manly and they cant be thought of as homosexual and seeing naked men on screen is something our society sees only gay men doing. Women are more relaxed about it or something (at least from what I have expirienced).
So we still have women that are objects to men and the manly men in the audience that arent exposed to the manly men on screen.
as a side note I am sorry if i confused people but I htink I need some sleep.
Its up to the director. And with full frontal male nudity, the movie would become a porno pretty much. Full frontal female nudity is easier to cover up the v*ginall area. (move the lighting a bit, shave the bush, turn her a bit...and no c**chie!)
I don't consider my body a work of art, and I don't consider a guys body a work of art either. I think in movies their views are, well, we show me w/ their shirt off let's show women w/ their's off....we don't see a women nude from the waist down and I think that's why they don't show men from the waist down either. I don' really care either way.
budworm-i get ur point. but do ya think girls like lookin at girls all the time, too? but, i really dont care if poeple start putting more male nudity or not, i think movies r fine rite now. i just wanted to state that point to u.
on many occasions i have asked girls and they ALWAYS tell me that they think pen!ses are nasty and they would rather not see them so why should they put that sick stuff in movies. guys LOVE to see the girls so that will attract more customers. all it is is a marketing ploy. and plus, guys WILL NOT WATCH ANYTHING THAT HAS GUYS STUFF IN IT. its just sick. thanks you.
As to the more male nudity question, I don't personally want to see naked men, but I can see why others might. people wanting to see naked men makes just as much sense as people wanting to see naked women, that is, none at all.
They had male nudity in The Life Of Brian and I was shocked, then I realized, the woman was naked too, and I barely noticed. As I think about this I think, when was the last time a male was exposed in a love scene I saw in a movie and I can't remember! what is with that??????? I say to directors, if you're putting a naked woman in a movie then put in a naked man in too!
There are movies where that type of thing is seen (fight club) and I'm guessing the reason there is much more frontal female nudity than male nudity si that in full frontal female nudity, you generally dont see anything besides a bush down there.
i'm not sure how increasing male nudity makes anything more "fair." in my mind, movies' focus on the human body is either for artistic expression (rare in mainstream american films) or to sell more tickets. studios put whatever sells on the screen, and they obviously believe that putting a nude female on screen is more profitable than putting a nude male on screen. it's a reflection of the market's desire. are you offended that the relative lack of male nudity is "unfair"?
