for hundreds of years, christians have sent people from the church (not just catholics, mind you, but all denominations of christ) to "do god's bidding." they have savagely raped several cultures' philosophies, and then replaced the wholeness of their origional philosophy, with the awkwardness of a new one; christianity. and the tradition is still continued on to this day. why doesn't anyone do anything to stop the uniqeness of culture, istead of letting christanity spread like wildfire and dominate the earth?

What about the good that missionaries have done?? They bring food and medicine to those who are sick. There is a mission outreach out of my church that has a mission hospital in places like Thailand and China. Missionaries also preach against fornication, which then lessens some chances of getting AIDS and STDS.

you could make the same argument regarding capitalism: why does such a system demand incorporation of other societies into its fold? the answer is that many fundamental systems operate with an axiom of growth. christianity (and many other religions) involve spreading gospel and "education" into foreign cultures. capitalism demands more markets to allow multiplication of economic tiers and players. both systems seek to homogenize the world. that's their nature. static cultures tend to get swallowed up by dynamic ones.
social darwinism acts on many levels, and many of them are unfairly situated. whether it's right or wrong is an enternal debate.
