You know, another thing that helps me relieve stress is nature. I'll just open my window on a day like this when the sky is partly cloudy. I will lay in my bed and listen to the leaves sway back and forth and the birds singing while the fresh air enters the room. I might play some classical music or calm music as well. It's nice.

I wasn't implying you called them that, or imposing my beliefs on you. You weren't correcting an error. You were trying to correct a feeling, a belief. And that is impossible, since a feeling can't be true or false, it just is. Respect that someone else is different and please refrain from the attacking.

I don't call animals "people". Almost everyone who speaks english doesn't call animals "people". Don't act so surprised when people (human people) correct your error.

I believe animals are people, hence why I said people. You could think for a second about the possible meanings of what I said before you threw your post back in my face, which obviously I have read.

I massacre ficticious aliens in gory videogames Big Grin I write on my blog, or read, usually distracts and relaxes me.
I did stop drinking coffee, I usually don't get much sleep, and I had some sort of panick attack at the office so after that I cut down on the caffeine, I was drinking around 3 or 4 large mugs a day.

Watching animals being slaughtered kinda helps

And no, I'm not kidding. I always think while I'm watching stuff like that during my darker days, that it could be worse, I could be that pig/horse/chicken/whatever. I also enjoy gore.

I walk or I run. It's the best therapy in the world for me.

I generally let stress roll off me. It can't bug me if I don't let it.

Unfortunately, this usually results in major procrastination and skipping class, so it's probably not the best way to deal with stress.

Oh. Speaking of showers.

Yelling in your head at people you're angry at in the shower is a fun way to relieve stress.

Yeah, I know that you guys were serious. I was referring to the ones that were not.

And yes, you are right Ikki. I do know that for a fact. Walking helps me personally as well as exercising and lifting weights.

Another thing that helps me is laying in the shower for a very long time and just let the the water hit my face or back.

So was I. Screaming and getting it all out actually works. As does taking long walks/etc. Walking is a distraction. Even playing Spider Solitaire is a good idea, cause it distracts you from the stress and lets you have a fresh start when you feel calm.

I would have liked serious responses to this thread. Perhaps I was asking for too much. Frown

Well, actually Dana handles stress by stealing babies and training them in martial arts to be members of her secret cult.
