urg, i hate creepy doctors. luckily, mine was a woman, and pretty cool. lol the worst thing i had to deal with was having the doctor ask me about my sexual history/activities while my mom was there... oh dear. oo, and random sort of fact: did you know that you arent allowed to take vitamins or eat foods high in vitamin a? so you might want to wait til after thanksgiving, cause missing out on the pumpkin pie would suck.

Clearly I decided to believe him. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't. However he was slightly creepy.

Yeah, but I'm fairly positive that it would be malpractice to lie to teenage girls about something like that...

Yeah. I'm a black cloud type of person so secretly I was thinking "Is that true or does he just want my bussiness?"

Yeah, my dermatologist was the third highest prescriber in the state, and he said he never had anyone with suicidal thoughts...

I took the full treatment of Accutane. The worst side affects I got was extremely dry skin. My doctor told me that the people who commited/ attempted suicide showed signs before taking the drug and that there is no studies proving a direct link between that and Accutane. If you do, take it just be careful

Thanks for your feedback ladies. I mentioned the fact that I'm considering it to my mom, she recommended I try Proactiv (since that's like the one OTC treatment I haven't tried yet). I told her I would do that, and if it didn't allow my skin to reach my desired results, then I would go forward with the Accutane. I went through the preliminary exam at my primary care doc's about 2.5 years ago, but then it turned out he wasn't licensed to prescribe it...and I never bothered with it again. I would definately want him as my prescribing doc again though (all he would have to do is register with the company), because he is a friend of the family, and seems to care a heck of a lot more than any other doc I've ever seen.

I took it shortly in 7th gradebut freaked out when my cholesterol spiked and went off it. but then i did a whole cycle about a year and a half ago and the difference in my skin was amazing. you definitely have to be willing to deal with the side affects though... monthly pregnancy tests at your doctors, a continuous form of birth control as well as a back-up method (the pill/condoms were mine), dramatically raised cholesterol, and then theres the whole depression thing... I dont regret taking it, but it defintely not for everyone. also be warned, it doesnt always last forever, some people have to do two rounds. i finished it a year ago, and started getting some rather bad acne again these last six months, but it much more easily controlled with regular face cleanign and stuff. p.s. if you do decide to do it, cetaphil moisturizer is awesome for dry skin (believe me, you'll need it a lot)>

Accutane also known as Isotretinoin. I didn't know what it was so I googled it and did some research "the FDA continues to assess reports of suicide or suicide attempts associated with the use of isotretinoin. All patients treated with isotretinoin should be observed closely for symptoms of depression or suicidal thoughts, such as sad mood, irritability, acting on dangerous impulses, anger, loss of pleasure or interest in social or sports activities, sleeping too much or too little, changes in weight or appetite, school or work performance going down, or trouble concentrating, or for mood disturbance, psychosis, or aggression." Plus it causes birth defects. I guess if you're educated on the risks, there's no problem taking it, I was just shocked at the possible sideffects of the drug. If you do decide to take, take it easy k?? by the way I got this information on this web page: http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopage/accutane/default.htm
J'irai bien.
