I have 13 piercings, 6 on each ear and one on my eye brow. My friend pierced her own nose and tongue and they got infected. Never do that yourself.

I have 4 holes in each of my ears. If my tummy was a little flatter I think I would get that pierced. I think it's cool to get stuff pierced because you are expressing yourself. Besides, it's not like you are going to regret a hole forever. It's a little different than a tattoo.

If you get anything pierced, please get it done professionally. I know a lot of people that pierced stuff on their own and were really mad once it got infected. You should always make sure the person is using a sterile needle whether getting a piercing or a tattoo.

I have 3 piercing. (1 in each ear and one in my cartilage). It is true that you really can't sleep on that side of your head for a while, but you get used to it. I am going to get my belly button done this weekend.

I wouldn't pierce my own tonuge if I were you. I know two girls that got it done and it swelled so bad that they couldn't eat. I would get it done by a pro and make sure that the place you get it done at is very sanitary.

Where I am getting my belly button pierced you watch them starilize the equipment and the pen that they use to mark on you, they even throw that away. Just make sure it is safe and clean.

I have 1 in each ear... and my mom won't let me get a 2nd 1 or get my cartilage pierced until I turn 15, so normally I just wear magnetic earrings along w/ the ones in my piercings...

I had my first ear piercings (just one hole in each lobe) done when I was 9... And about a year ago I had my cartilage done. It doesn't hurt really bad for more than a week, kind of this throb like a headache, but if you clean it and are gentle with it, it stops hurting and it looks cool.

And I think piercings can be really sexy if done in moderation. Personally, tongue piercings are gross, so are nose piercings (that would just suck, ya know? Like if you got a cold right after you got it pierced.... Ouch)

i used to know this one girl who pierced her own tounge and another one who pierced her own belly button..... i dont know if they still have them, but that was crazy........ i only have two in each ear. but when i got my second holes pierced, the first one went in alright but the second one, the piercing gun stopped short and only pricked my ear then it turns out that the store didnt have any more of the earrings i had chosen so they sent me to another one and that went down okay. it was a nightmare but i lived...lol

lol yeah I know, I've heard the cartilage hurts, but I've been through child birth, so who knows how much it would hurt me


The only bad thing about the belly button piercing (and actually any peircing at that) is the chance that your body could reject it, or it gets infected. If you are lucky enough to have your body not reject it, as long as you clean it the way the piercer told you to, it should be fine.

Do you think it'd be too dangerous to get your belly button pierced? I really want to get it pierced, but my mom will not let me. Plus, I have heard very scary stories about people and their belly button pierces. Since there are soo many bad things that can happen I am too afraid...Plus, doesn't it hurt?

If you do get your catilage done... be warned... that one hurts more than any of the others I've had done. It's a more consistent pain. You belly well be fine and your tongue even, but the ear!!!... Aggg. I couldn't lay on that side, use the phone on the side or anything for what felt like forever.

I only have my lobes pierced right now (twice in each ear), but am thinking about getting my cartilage done, as well as my belly button. Been thinking about the tounge but I have a 17 month old who loves to try to stick his hands in my mouth. I'd be too afraid that he would try to pull on it.

I have 6 piercings right now and I'm going to get 3 more. I have 5 in my ears (1 in the cartilage). My tongue is pierced too. It rocks. I don't have a speach problem at all and people that I've known for years don't know my tongue is pierced unless I show it to them. I have an acrylic ball on it so it won't damage my teeth at all. I'm going to get my belly pierced (again, because it ripped out the first time) and I'm going to get 2 more in my ears. Piercing is addictive to me, and I love it.

If you get your tongue pierced you can break your teeth and that would cost alot of money to fix. If you get your tongue pierced you will suffer a speech impediment of some sort. It could go away, but it could take years. And somtimes you just talk different.

Well I have my ears 5 times, my tongue, and my belly. It is not safe to be piercing your own tongue(or anything else), if you do it in the wrong spot you can paralize your face so carefull. And I don't think their is any thing wrong with piercings, it is a type self expression.

I have 5 piercings on my ear (2 on each ear and then one cartilage). But I think I want to get an eyebrow piercing. And I heard that tongue rings can be bad because it can mess up your teeth (from the metal hitting it so much), you can get food inside of it, and like everyone has said if it's done wrong it can cause problems.

If you piece your tongue wrong, you can puncture something and bleed to death.

Piercings are pretty cool. On the whole piercing your own tongue thing, well I'd let a pro do it for you. I've pierced my own navel and my own tongue. I had to get my tongue re-done by a pro though cuz I did it wrong or something,I'm not sure. But if you wanna get a piercing go ahead just don't go over board with it. Piercings are cool, but too many and then it looks bad.

I think piercings can be very sexy, but one must keep the piercing clean so it won't get infected. I would go to a shop who can do it and do it cleanly, because you don't want to hurt your own tongue by doing it yourself, and you don't want to get sick because of non-sterilized needles.
