Self Mutilation is Like cigarettes Its hard to quit beacause It makes you feel better for a few minutes after the pain has gone away. Trust me you shouldn't do it! Scars will stay for a long long time and It hurts. I used to think it sloved me problems (1 year ago) It didn;'t and Now I have Big ugly scars on my arm. Thats my opinion. whot do you think?

It's very addicting, I never really understood it until now. I tried once, about a week ago and I didn't think any thing of it. Then this morning, I look at my arm and see fifteen cuts and think, "When did this happen"? And then I think, "Oh. Right. Last night." I don't know if I was depressed, or just pissed off last night, but I saw I knife and couldn't resist.

I have never cut myself or anything b/c I don't have any problems that I feel need solving in that way...But I have a couple friends that do. Another friend, in an attempt to "help" them did it to herself. She planned on doing and threatening if they did it to themselves again that she would too hoping that they would stop for her sake. Well, it didn't work and I don't think that was her true motive...She has a rough home life I think she wanted attention from it but needed a reason that no one would think she was the one with the problems.

i agree with you on that. it's hard to stop. i've tried 3 or 4 different things and it hasn't helped me stop.
