The only way to make sure that STDs or unwanted pregnancies is by not having sex until you are married, other than that there is always some ammount of risk for either STDs or unwanted pregnancies. Do people just not know this? or what? Why do a majoirty of people have sex before marriage do they not know the risks?

most people know the risks and are willing to take that chance, many people consider that stupid, except the people who do experience this. There are percautions that can be taken but yeah there is no way to totally prevent STD's and unwanted pregnancies without abstenince. People know what they are doing usually, they knew the possible consequences and accepted them.

In all honesty, do you REALLY want to know? I knew all that, by the way, VoA. ANd teh reasons I have not had sex? 1. The screaming brats 2. Haven't met the right person 3. Fear of EVERYTHING including emotional baggage. 4. The more you know about something, the less you seem to want to do it...

I thought this thread might be cool. And yet, here I find myself posing the thread's title question to the original poster. People have sex before marriage because they want to. They weigh the risks and they don't care. This is not a hard concept. Well, it shouldn't be. Why are people so stupid?
Up the creek without a paddle? Heck, I never even had a friggin' boat.

Same here north. There are always risks of STDs.And what about divorces? If you have an STD from your first marriage and get married again, it gets transferred to your new spouce. That's just to show that STDs can still come about even if sex only happens in marriage. Because we are naturally sexual creatures, and some of us embrace that, others don't. Please don't give me a speech on how I will die by having sex, Jamaica has done that already. It's not worked.
