Does anyone know of any like help lines, websites or rehabs for anorexcis/bulimics? I need some, I looked in the phonebook and I havent found any. I looked online and I cant find any close to my area. My sister is anorexic, and its getting worse. She's lost 20 pounds, and shes 5'5 (she went from 100 pounds to 80). I need help. Thanks. -Sunset

Yes, uptown, I do. And she goes to rehab every summer, I just dont talk to her much. And retard boy, anorexia isnt puking, thats bulimia. And telling someone to just eat doesnt fix the problem. -Sunset

Didn't you have an anorexic friend at one point, Sunset?

Sunset, YN has a bunch of help lines listed in the Peer-to-Peer counciling board. I can see why Bella made the mistake. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

sunset, I'm so sorry about your sister. Have her try somethingfishy.com ummm what else...you know what? have her email me, glittergurl480@hotmail.com I may be able to talk to her. I'm dealing with anorexia myself, and I know it helps me to talk to others about it. Make sure you keep telling her how thin she is and that the eating disorder causes her to see a distorted image of herself. If you can get her to eat, do so as often as possible, but don't force feed her. Try telling her about all the health risks of anorexia, is she loses any more weight she could lose her period, have a heart attack, even die. At this point she is already at risk. Best of luck.

What you need isn't generic advice from websites. infact, that's a pet peeve of mine. people think if they can slab on a little information they'll save the world. (not you, feijaio) You need to talk to someone. It's hard but it's good to vent. I would suggest first talking to her and letting her know what she's doing to herself. this needs to be a heart-to-heart talk, not a "eat, or i'll tell mom" kind of thing. Yes, in reality this probably wont work, but atleast she'll get some kind of idea. Maybe talk to your mom/dad or a trusted adult. you know you're in the right direction when you recognize the fact of what she's doing. keep up the good work and keep caring.

National Eating Disorders Association : Gives information on topics related to eating disorders. 1-800-931-2237 www.nationaleatingdisorders.org Renfrew Center Foundation : Gives information on eating disorders and treatment. 1-800-RENFREW www.renfrew.org. I hope those help a little.
