The issue of weight is so much of a big thing that it is destroying young people Like myself, of how a female should be and look i have gone through things to where i have not even told my own mother.
People not wanting to say anything to me because they think that since you are over weight you will smell or do something nasty in front of them.
Even to this day it is still happening to me to belive it or not so you are not alone and keep yourself happy you are young take pride in yourself.

Teens are having a problem about being over weight. It's a growing problem because the generation is becoming very unheathy. I'm over weight myself but you learn to deal with it. Everyone is not going to want to be your friend, but there are people that will except you for the way you are. We have to be able to live with yourself. There are things you can do if you just feel bad about the way you look. Talk to someone that you trust. Don't hold all that depression inside. Talk to your parents and or someone else that you trust.
Kindness is a voice that the deaf can hear. -Blessings

You should never base your confidence on the way you look or your weight, but in the long run, it's for overweight people's own benefit to go on diets(not fad diets or starving yourself but a healthy diet in addition to exercise). It's not being brainwashed by the media to go on a diet, it's simply better to have a healthier body. It's not healthy being overweight. We shouldn't look down to people for their weight, but we shouldn't encourage people to stay overweight. Don't say you have better things to do than going on a diet, going on a healthy diet would not interfere with doing whatever you're doing. Obesity is a disease and a serious problem.

I'm also overweight as a lot of you have stated but I have my days when I'm comfortable and others when I'm not because in society and the media is portrayed as being thick "in the right places" LOL! or small. & that's why many "overweight" people go on these fad diets, fasting, and these eating disorders.
Love yourself first & if you want 2 lose weight,do it for yourself!
Sincerely, Gabriel

When you are younger you cannot or do not know how to "get over it" because you want to be accepted by your peers. Young people who aren't accepted can become depressed, suicidal, or homicidal toward their peers.
Only when/if they mature can they be more self-assured or can accept themselves in spite of others. You can take my word for that.

There are always going to be idiots who give you krap because your not the 'perfect' person. Just ignore it, and if they keep at it cofront them or a teacher about it. And like loud and proud said it dosent make a difference what you look like.
Life sux get over it!

not everyone's like that. some people don't care if you're overweight, anorexic, or just normal, like me. I have several overweight friends, my brother is even overweight, but they're still good people. that's what matters most. you are who you are, and your confidence is what will make people want to be around you.
