I've been reading all this magazines that are stressing out about beauty, beauty, and beauty. On every page,in every article, the beauty issue is always there. It made me wonder.. is beauty really that important? And what is beauty anyway?Isn't it a very subjective thing according to the saying,'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'? If that saying is true, then why is our society keep potraying some certain qualities that a woman or a man should have in order to be considered attractive? Advertisements and movies are the most powerful brainwashing device.. and they are brainwashing us through the slimming ads, breast enlargement ads, skin whitening ads, and so many other ads that are saying,'You will only be beautiful if u have all these qualities!'
So what do you think? Is physical beauty really that important? Why is it so? And what is beauty anyway?

all very powerful points, and very true. they have all these sayins about beauty and its the way we see it, but the way society potrays is if you are not caucasian you are not beautiful or you dont have causian features then something is wrong with, its very fustrating what beauty really is, because no one really knows what beauty is besides the way god made us. well i guess thats the answer thats the was god made us, so where all beautiful in very own different ways, i know it sounds like a bunch a BS but its the truth no matter how society potrays what beauty really is.

when it comes to looks, just remember looks are changeable, you can't fix stupid

Beauty is how God made everyone with his own hands. But, it makes me furious when people steriotype on how people look..we strive for perfection, but do we get it? no.

Well, my point of view is, outer beauty only gives the first impression, but inner beauty is the most important. To me, outer beauty will not last, unlike inner beauty which will be eternal eventhough we become old. So, which really matters? Inner beauty or outer beauty? Will you rather to have a so called "temporarily" pretty woman or will you rather have a sweet and caring woman for your life? I will choose to go for the latter...
