Ok...heres what i have been thinking about lately. Why is it okay for a man to go out and have sex with a lot of women..and not ok for women. We are all equal here. When a women has sex with more than a few people they get called Who*re. And guys get credit for it. I just dont understand. The guy can get away with it, and the girl gets names! So if i offended you, sorry, i wasnt trying to, im jus tryin to find some answers. Please reply on what u think.

One of the main reasons is because it has been deeply ingrained in our culture. In particular in Western Culture women have been deemed subservient and in many cases like property. So therefore when a man attained property, the female in this case, he would not want his property spoiled. Most of our cultural still practices this, on a certain level. Another part of the problem is women are taught to be a lot more empathetic, especially in particular towards males, so this is another issue that causes the problem we are discussing. Ultimately who really cares if they call you a **** or *****? But if it really bothers you why don't women start calling males whores or ****s and try to make it a bad thing for men to be pimps because its very evident women are still being controlled by this idea of being empathetic towards males, on this particular issue. But here lies the biggest problem in today’s society, women’s biggest enemies are not males, it is their own gender.


On a side note, I’m in no way saying that Western culture is the only culprute of this problem, but since the problem was addressing a Western Society that is why I choose to analyze Western Society.

Ok, so guys who sleep around are envied, and girls who sleep around are ridiculed. Why is this? What makes the difference?

My theory is this.

Men throughout history have been the aggressors in the relationship, I.E. it is traditionally the men whom asks the women to the date/get married/and the guy is normally the sexual aggressor too.

Now I am sure that at one time in history that, women and men were probably not even supposed to hold hands on a first date, and hugging at the end was even frowned upon. But then came the fateful day when Ug, took Engia, out on a date and was able to get a kiss out of her. Soon word got out, next thing you know Engia was the most popular women in the cave!

Men have always shown there favor to promiscuous women. Not always as a suitor, but as a “quick fix”, if you will. Women who “put out” are only wanted because of the fact. If a man is generally unsuccessful with his own girlfriend, it is generally accepted he will “move on” it “greener pastors”. How many girls feel their boyfriends have cheated on them because they wouldn’t get on there knees? Women can definitely tell that the attention is given to the one who will do what others won’t.

However! On the other side if the spectra. It is now considered feminist statement to be a ****. The argument “Guys do it! Why can’t girls? Its sexist to say its ok for men to whores and not women!”

My only response to this is, Does 2 wrongs make a right?

Well I am starting to book write here so let summarize.

Maybe it is unfair that women are expected to hold a higher code of decency then men. But it is no more my fault that men are sex crazed and give those of us who aren’t a bad name, then yours [women] with the same problem.
I myself get turned off more by a girl who can’t stop talking about sex then one who never starts. It make me think that if I don’t become her sex doll, then she’ll just find someone who will.

But we all know how far from normal I am.

we as girls must stand up for ourselves. guys have the positive names. we don't. we should have been saying things back to make them see that they are doing is wrong a long time ago.

You know, I've wondered that too. A girl would be considered a sl** or easy, but for a guy its just like "a guy thing" haha, like the movie! No one expects a guy to restrain himself, but girls are supposed to have only had sex with ONE PERSON. I agree with girls only having sex with the person they marry, but I think that society stresses it on girls, and not enough on guys. I would never marry a guy that was not virgin, which may be a problem in future years with the way guys are . . . *ahem*, getting around now.
