what do you do when you feel like killing yourself... even though you know you'd never do it and are afraid to tell anyone?

i'm not sure what to do but i have been there myself and my friend told me about his thoughts about it and we worked through it together. thos helplines aren't all that great sadly i recomend just bonding with a friend even if it's with stupid stuff like going to see a crappy movie and laughing about it the whole time. you'll see somethings are worth being around for. being awake...time wasted between naps

All this talk of distracting yourself...I don't know how useful that actually is. When I was going through my period of sucicidal thoughts, I kept to myself, alone. But you shouldn't distract yourself. I've found that looking at yourself, and the world around you, and realizing that death is a foolish option that is beneath you does wonders. It all comes down to self esteem I guess. No one in America at our age, save a very, very few individuals, has and good reason to think they can't improve thier situation to some acceptable level. You're human, you've got the power to do anything if you apply yourself.

I hate those feelings. I just stay alone, usually go for a long, long walk out in the woods. I won't do my homework-and most of my teachers understand if I talk to them after class. I'm not really suicidal, but sometimes you think about it. And when you start thinking, there are problems. Thinking just creates more stress. Sleep. Relax. Stuff like that. It's been working so far...

Dude. Instead of posting on every thread like this, just put those numbers up at the top! Unless they're already there. If they are, stop posting like this. It just makes no sense.

SuicideIf you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, we encourage you to seek the help of a parent, teacher or other trusted adult for professional counseling help or advice. If you ever need immediate help and/or are in a life threatening situation, call 911 or your local police emergency line. Here are a couple resources that may be helpful to you: 1-800-SUICIDE or 1-800-564-2120 Suicide Prevention

Risika, killing yourself is always an option. Choosing not to is also an option. I just stay alone when I'm suicidal. But please don't do that.

Just have something just for you to do when you start feeling that why. Make it be something that is yours and no one else's so that others can't control it. Let it be something that makes you smile and makes you and your heart happy and your content with it and yourself.
I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for wha

You do something that makes you happy, makes you smile. Killing yourself is not an option. Do something to clear your mind like taking a walk, jogging, running. Just do something to take your mind off of it.
