my school starts at 7:30 every day, 8:25 on fridays, I don't think I've actually fallen asleep, but I might have slept with my eyes open. Most kids go to sleep in study hall when they need to, even though we supposedly aren't alowed to sleep at any time throughout the day. I really don't see how teachers and administrators expect us to stay alert throughout the day with the 4 hours of homework we get every night, waking up at 6 am at the very latest every morning, plus all our extra curricular activities that we have to hold down in order to get into a good college and enjoy life. Today in study hall, a bunch of kids got in trouble, (one girl actually got sent back to in school)because the sub actually enforced the no sleeping rule.

Or just make school non-mandatory, like college. You miss college classes, it's your money and your education being wasted, and they remember that. Unlike stupid up to high school institutions that arrest you for not attending but do nothing if you fail.

*sighs* I usually get 7 hours' sleep a day.Depends on whether the homework is required to be handed in the next morning... I always love sleeping, but can't insert more time for sleep into the schedule. It takes hours to review and do homework every night, even though I don't really do much of it at all.We have a lot of time this year, but it'll get tense in the following 2 years.
Yay,I've got 3 symptoms out of 5,maybe I could have a long long sick leave,I swear I'd sleep through...

Whoa! That's to late for my taste, there wouldn't be much time for social hours in the afternoon, don't you think? sweet day.

i can live on five hours of sleep like a "normal" person can live on eight or nine hours. if i get any less than that, though i cant stay awake. i usually go to bed after my paranoia tires me out and wake up to greet the mists on the fields.

It really depends; there are months where I’ll only get 4-5 hours of sleep, but other months I’ll get 8-10 hours. It really just depends on my workload at work and school and what’s going on in my life. Also it is very important to remember that different people have different sleep needs; there are some people who naturally only need about 4-6 hours of sleep. But also I believe this study gives a prime example that are public schools need to restructure there times. ITs natural for teenageers to stay up late, there are biological reasons for this, so I believe that schools should start accomidating for this and start school later in the morning and have the students get later in the afternoon. I would say start school at 10ish and have the students depart from school at about 4ish.

I usually get 5-6 hours of sleep, without any of the listed symptoms of sleep deprivation.
