You can try not drinking any with caffeine in it 2 weeks before you start and also drink water. You can also for PMS take a magnesium and a calcium pill.

for me i always take a warm bath when im getting cramps it usually helps plus it relaxes you and can relieve stress which makes your cramps even worse. NEVER lay on your stomach it may feel better for a moment but they will hurt worse after a while. also add some oatmeal to your bath it helps with breakouts during your period. and yes having an orgasm does cure cramps FOR THE MOMENT. they will come back i promise

I'm 15 and I've been getting my period since I was 10. I've had the worst luck with anyone in my family when it comes to that 'special time.' When I was 12 I started getting my peroid every two weeks and my doctor tried to put me on birth control to slow it down but my mom wouldn't let me. I started getting cramps when I was about 13 and they're terrible. Most of the time I wake up and I feel like I'm going to puke. If you feel like this too, do it. Don't try to hold it in because you're scared of whatever. It'll make you feel much better. So here are my top things to do when you have your peroid:
1. get some sort of microwaveable heating pad. It works miracles and can be used on achy muscles too.
2. try to not go to the bathroom as much as you normally do. [for me] it makes the cramps worse because there's nothing there to cushion the cramps.
3. take some form of painkiller if you need to, but be careful to not overdose.
4. I usually sleep on my right side curled up because if you lay on your right side It helps things go thru your body faster so it makes my period finish sooner.
5. I know you probably really won't feel like it, but exercising is wonderful when you have your period. It warms up your body and makes the cramps go away a little.
6. try to figure out your 'warning signs' if your period is slightly irregular.for me, i tend to care more of what people think of me, dress girlier, and make decisions off of no reason at all. [i'm a tomboy and mainly level-headed]

As for tampons, I hate using them but when I do for sports I use playtex sport. They go in very easily and tend to stay in comfortably for the most part.

Message me if you have any questions.

i am 14 years old and i get the worst cramps in the world. ive had cramps for about a year now and they are starting to get worse. i get them right on the day my period starts... i use 2 midols and it doesnt kick in till a while. i sometimes feel like im gonna pass out (which i have before and the doctors thought i was enimic so i had to take centrum everyday, which helped me from not fainting) and sometimes i feel like im going to throw up. i do put a heating pad on my stomach but it doesnt really help. a friend told me to stick a icy hot on my low stomache and im not sure if it works but she told me it does. i try drinking a lot of water but it still sometimes doesnt help. what are some best ways to help my cramps?????

I don't use drugs and prescription medicine for my pains. I only use natural remedies.
The best advice I can give is to drinks lots and lots of water before the day of your period and all throughout week that you have it. Its sooo works for me!
Also eating fruits are a great way to help relieve some of the cramps and are great tasty treat as well.!!!!!

its all about the drugs lol i get the worst cramps with my period and i learned that at the first sign take 2 midol and 2 robaxacet (sorry about spelling) platinum (muscle relaxant so it really helps)and a cold pack. careful with the drugs tho. i once over did it and took five pills (mix of 3 different kinds) on an empty stomach. not good. and the pain slowly got worse. and then i was feeliing awsum! but still not good!

ppl say HATE is a strong word but so is LOVE & ppl throw that around like its nothing!???

I'm 16, I've had my period for 7 years. About two years ago my cramps got worse. And for some reason, every other month it is very different. One month the pain will be almost unbearable and I will throw up. The next month is light to nothing. I skip a lot of periods.

Like everyone else is saying, water and a heating pad. I don't have a heating pad, so I put my laptop (which gets pretty warm) on my abdomen and watch my favorite movie. Also, I was prescribed painkillers, which work miracles. Talk to a doctor if you think you might need additional medication.

You need to exercise everyday, have a hotpad on your tummy, you need to drink LOTS of water, ...as gross as this sounds and tastes, put 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in an 8oz glass of water and drink it 2 x's a day, this will help keep your PH balance in your body at the right amount. Eat a banana and some plain yogurt, this will help keep you from getting a yeast infection while on your period, make sure to eat healthy. As far as tampons go, eventhough they're not good to wear on your period because it makes the temperature rise up in there... try "tampax pearl ULTRA" it has many layers and it pretty much keeps you from leaking everywhere esp. if you have a heavy flow... well i hope i was of some help Smile
