I've Had My Period Since July Of Last Year. Im 13 Now. I Have REALLY Bad Cramps whenever I Have My Period So Here's What Helps Me: I Either Get A Hot Water Bottle (Available At Any Drugstore), Or a Heating Pad For Your Bed. I Also Take Midol But It Takes A While To Kick In. I Also Take A Nap Because It Usually Helps Me. Tea Also Helps A Lot. But I Still Need Help Thought Because I've Had To Come Home From School About 4 Or 5 Times Because My Period Shows Up Unexpected. So My Advice For Your Advice? Thanks.

And i still use pads because i dont know how to use tampons. And i get bad lower back cramps and was wondering what i could take or do to ease the pain. i take midol everyday im on my period but it only helps sometimes. Could i take alieve? or would that make me bleed alot more than i do? THANK YOU! fnradd

I love how its the bush supporter that started talking about freaking Eve.

Bushsupporter: If Eve didn't eat from the Tree of Knowledge, you wouldn't have been punished. ... If Adam hadn't been a twit and thrown Lilith out for wanting to go on top, Eve never would have been made! Period pains are contractions of the muscles in the womb and uterus, therefore the best thing is a prescription from a DR for a drug that stops these cramps Otherwise, my advice - i went on the contraceptive injection and have not had a period for four years.... pain free

oh my god...i have the worst cramps in the world!! i can tell when its coming,my left leg goes numb [weird, i kno!] so i have to get advil, fast!..advil is the only thing that helps me..but if i get to the pills too late i ask my mom to make me tea. I love TEA!!, its my life saver. If i feel it coming i use one pill but if it doesn't get better in 5 minutes i get another one..i cant wait for 10 min.. After my leg goes numb.i get this horrible twisting feeling in my lower abdomen..my lower back gets sore..i get irritated very fast..i dont want to talk to anyone, i dont want to breath,'cause it makes it worse, i dont want anyone to talk. I cant move and i just want evrybody to leave the room. and I want to scream and cry soo freakin bad!..if it still continuous i get so nauseous i sit right in front of the toilet 'till it goes away. But for the life of me I try to swallow 2 Advil pills and chug down green tea.

I end up having cramps for over 2 hr before they go away. Even if i take 3 or 4 pills. I cry everytie i get them. what do i do? They hurt so bad.

Ladies, please try to keep this thread on topic. Please post the things that work for you to relieve menstrual cramps. Everyone here is posting for the same purpose, so there is no need to ask the question again.
No shenanigans.

bananas get rid of cramps. + I use midol for my period needs." For tampons, i use tampax pearl. And you might want to stick the tampon up more if you can feel it.

i take baths, listen to music i enjoy, and use an old family recipe that my doctor said was completely healthy: I mix i few drops of spirits of ammonia in a glass of coke(it covers up the taste the most). The reason it works is because the spirits is a natural muscle relaxer. quote: Originally posted by Bushsupporter: If Eve didn't eat from the Tree of Knowledge, you wouldn't have been punished.
obviously you have never had a crap in your life, you would probably die from the pain if you got them as bad as me.

See a doctor if it is really bad, they may prescribe an anti-inflamatory or a strong painkiller. Sometimes it is too painful to exercise so try resting.
