I've encountered so many people who are close-minded, and don't realise that there are people out there who aren't as fortunate as them to have a happy, carefree life.
What do you think people are most ignorant about, whether it be a mental illness, a disease, a race, a religion, etc.?

quote: Or about what being pro-choice means.
V. true. People can't tell the difference between Pro-Choice and Pro-Abortion. I'm prochoice. I don't want every baby killed. Though, I do think people are more ignorant about Mental Illnesses in general. Schizophrenics are seen as "people who hear voices." Self injury, Anorexia, Bulimia, Alcholism, Drug Abuse, Depression, PTSD, OCD, etc. etc. all are so incredibly misunderstood, moreso for the ones that aren't talked about very much. Although, Anorexia is someting that is talked about ("OMFG SHE"S SO SKINNY SHE MUST BE ANOREXIC!), people think that you invision fat rolls hanging off, and the only reason you starve yourself is because you think you're fat. Seeing something different in the mirror is actually Body Dismorphic Disorder, if I'm not mistaken. Anorexia is more about wanting love in a society where we are taught that if you're fat, you can't be loved.

I think we're the most ignorant about animals and their rights. Too many people think humans are superior, in my opinion. -fumes-

I think people are most ignorant about homosexuality. Or about what being pro-choice means.
When the president talks to god are the conversations brief or long? Does he ask to rape our women's rights and send more farm kids off to die? Does God suggest an oil hike when the president talks to god?

I think that people are ignorant about who's right and who's wrong. Everyone always wants to be right and will never fess up to being wrong. It's hard to get out of the "I'm right" state of mind, but it is more pleasant.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

People really don't know about darkness and evil. It's something you never forget. It takes over your life and everything that you do. Everything you think and fell. It's like you hidden from the world even when your still leaving on it. Few know about it. Some are deeper into it than others, but alot for people don't know about it and alot of people don't care.

True. People often believe that their opinion is the right opinion, not realising that opinions cannot be right or wrong.

I think people in America (I don't know many people from many other first world countries so, sorry, I can't include you in this) are most ignorant about the poverty level around the world. Yes, we know about it but it doesn't seem to affect us too terribly much. Most people don't seem to be actively working to ease poverty, malnutrition, bad housing, and other problems in countries that aren't our own. Heck, most Americans don't even look around in our own country. I think that's sad because we have been blessed as a whole so much that we could help so many people and yet we constantly continue to close our eyes to the problems of the world. You hear so often, "That doesn't happen here." "Well, they're a long way away, it can't effect me." People have forgotten that what happens to one of us, happens to all of us. Or maybe that's just me that believes that.

a lot of people fear. as many people have said already. its easy to fear something you don't know about. but i would defintally want know is, why should people fear other people. you don't see animals running away from other animals because of their color, sexual orientation, religion( ), usually only because their about to be ate, but thats a different story,lol.. so why should we?
